I only listened to "The Day That Never Comes": Lars's drumming is unbearable, and for the first two minutes, it’s even ridiculous: it sounds like a kid who's just starting out trying to play in his bedroom along with a record. Hetfield's voice has lost much of its expressive quality; it has lost its edge, and without that edge, the Metallica aren’t really Metallica. Rob and Kirk are the only ones holding the fort, but unfortunately, the bass is barely audible (a flaw in the production), and so Hammett's solos remain the only relatively enjoyable parts. I don't know how the rest of the album is, but if it’s at this level, I think "Death Magnetic" is quite a forgettable work, certainly better than trash like "St. Anger," but it didn't take much. The real Metallica is something else, but, as we already knew, they were lost many years ago.

Of course, my second comment is not referring to your remarks in this review (I must admit that this time you kept it concise, and I commend you for that) but in all the others. Keep it up.

Unfortunately, the comments you write are truly unmentionable and very poor. Intolerance and arrogance are things you could do without. Giving up certain attitudes would benefit you. Still, compliments anyway.

It's an excellent review. When you're not arrogant and stay on topic, you highlight the great writing skills that you undoubtedly possess. Well done.

The vote for the album is a 3 minus minus (how it used to make me mad in school with that minus minus!). The record is definitely the best from Rammstein. Doctor Flake, when will we reach these levels again?
