Queen + Paul Rodgers The Cosmos Rocks

It might be, but did you hear it? "Still Burnin" with the clapping of "We Will Rock You," have you listened to it? Didn't it make you feel a bit disgusted (and also pissed off, I might add)? Do you want to make mediocre music? That's fine by me, but take Queen out of the name! Then, as always, everyone is free to think what they want.

Ah, it's clear that Deacon will also be profiting from this atypical reunion, but I appreciated the good taste he showed in not actively participating.

I’m not ashamed to say it: Queen (derided by almost everyone on Debaser) are the band I feel most connected to, and Freddie has always been my idol. Throughout my life, I've listened to just about everything, and I love many genres and artists that are quite far from the typical Queen style, but the music of the English quartet remains a safe harbor for me, a refuge I can turn to when I need a lift and to feel protected. Putting on "A Night At The Opera," "Sheer Heart Attack," "Innuendo" feels like coming home after a long wander. Now do these gentlemen want to take this away from me too? It’s disheartening when your heroes let you down. Roger, Brian, you didn’t need the name Queen: you wanted to make a new album? Fine, but don’t exploit a name loved by millions of fans around the world; it still means something to us. You’re all, including Paul Rodgers, world-renowned musicians with long and honorable careers behind you. Couldn’t you give your musical project a new name? I just don’t get it… still thinking about money, huh? You already have enough to live for five generations to come… The album has a few good moments, nothing more, and as the reviewer rightly points out, at various points you get the feeling of "heard it before." "C-lebrity" really sucks, based as it is on a solid yet boring guitar. Where the hell is the Red Special? By the end of the listening experience, all that’s left is this: "?" And we ask ourselves: why? Why the hell?!? I’ll conclude with one thing: long live John! John Deacon for life!

I listened to them in San Giorgio del Sannio a week ago. They were really awful, like really bad.

Long live Robert Plant! The album is truly great (my personal rating is 4.5), but I must say that the term "lagna," at least when applied to the rest of their production, really fits well.

Iside, you are absolutely right: it’s a shame that the film wasn’t shot in Italy. I rushed to see it, in the original language, at the Sacher cinema in Rome. It’s a stunning work, a film that is not celebratory but a standalone piece (as all films about musical legends should be), inspired and profound, truly magnificently shot with beautiful cinematography. If you can, download it: it’s worth it. Congratulations to the Italian distributors who have once again demonstrated their incompetence and lack of depth.

"Atmosphere" is THE song, and to call it that is reductive. It's art. Indispensable and unrepeatable.

Stratospheric album and at the same time the end of a magic. I'm sorry but the Mrillion are finished here. The next band is something else, a great group but no longer the Marillion: a name change would have been well received. That said, Fish all my life!
