Vinicio Capossela Da solo

The review is good and engaging. After listening to the album more attentively, I would like to share a few thoughts: "Da solo" is, as you have already well pointed out, a winter album, entirely different from its predecessor: there is no longer "the shot, the bang," the sparks and the multifaceted nature of "Ovunque Proteggi"; "Da solo" is, in my opinion, unique in Vinicio's production. At a first listen, one might define it as a return to the origins (especially due to the importance given to the piano, which characterized albums like "All'una e trentacinque circa" or even "Canzoni a manovella"), but it is not so. In this album, there is a different Capossela, grown and transformed, who, yes, returns forcefully to the piano, but does so in a different way, with a different spirit and a different poetic approach.
This is a more introspective, reflective, and melancholic Vinicio, solitary; a Vinicio who speaks of love in a different manner; a Vinicio still fascinated by America; a nocturnal Vinicio (as per tradition) but in a different way; a Vinicio who, unlike the last album, travels more with his imagination than with his feet. In short, all this to say that "Da solo" seems to me to be a really good album, from an artist who is now mature and continually evolving. Those who judge it by comparing it to O.P. will be gravely mistaken, as that album was something entirely different and I believe a unique piece in his career (of course, one might prefer that one over this latest...de gustibus). Perhaps it could be said that this album was almost necessary, or at least it was natural for it to be shaped in this way, as I see "Da solo" as a return home, from that long and frenzied journey that was "Ovunque Proteggi."

This was the first book I read by Palahniuk, and it struck me terribly. Maybe it’s the one I like the most (even though I’ve missed a few), second place goes to Cavie. It’s a book that left a strong impression on me, with its repetitions, its twists, its cynicism, its pitch-black humor (from Blackdog, indeed), and so on. A review worthy of the book, perfectly “in the spirit” of the story told and the way Palahniuk tells it. Kudos, Black, but now I want the others too ;D.

Great review, a bit unusual and therefore special and commendable. The book is simply a masterpiece.
