The Psychedelic Freak Funk Punk Metal Jazz Rock Band. Yes, that's actually their name.

In reality, of the genres mentioned, there might be a couple. The most "freak" thing is definitely the unlikely name of this merry bunch of oddballs (whose members' names remain unknown) that mocks musical criticism and the maniacal need to categorize everything and everyone into genres and subgenres (already the EP cover with that "Trascending Genres"? is clear about this intention).

However, despite this Zappa-esque witty irony, this "Birthday" comes across as a thin slice of frozen ham, despite the gigantic charcoal-grilled wild boar feast expected from such a mammoth name. "Nightmares" is a gentle piano ballad with a female voice accompanied by a nice piano melody that floats in a vaguely psychedelic atmosphere, in "Running Away" that little voice - that's neither good nor bad but really lacks any character - lands again on popadelic shores but this time with a nice hippie accordion in the background, while during the listening of "Someday," the concluding track of this work, we are faced with a male voice this time, as anonymous as the previous one, which walks along a path of piano and shabby violins with a slightly Eastern European flavor before a metallic riff à la Judas Priest closes in fifth gear this mini-album.

Three rather weak songs, nothing unheard of before, for a work that will probably be noticed only for the impressive name of the band in question. Nothing transcendental then. Let's not get too fooled.
