New Trolls Senza Orario Senza Bandiera

The five on the record also takes into account its significant historical importance: before the New Trolls, it is inappropriate to speak of Italian rock, in my opinion. I enjoyed the review to some extent: the enthusiasm and emphasis on the importance of this album is right, but there are things I don’t agree with. Is this an album by De André set to music by the New Trolls? Without taking away from the importance of the Genoese singer-songwriter, I would rather say that this is an album by the New Trolls that boasts the lyrics and conceptual framework of De André; after all, we are talking about music, and the music here was composed by them (except for "Signore, io sono Irish", the work of the second key figure of this album: Gian Piero Reverberi). Furthermore, I see at least three more gems (you’ve cut it a bit too short, in my opinion) in addition to the ones mentioned here: the subtle psychedelia of "Susy Forrester", the astounding hard rock of "Duemila" (with Di Palo reaching impressive heights in vocals), and the epic "Padre O'Brien", perhaps a bit too stifled by falsettos and orchestration, but that would not be out of place in a rock opera like Jesus Christ Superstar. Italian groups like Le Vibrazioni merely redo the repertoire of the New Trolls from this period. I obviously prefer the originals!!

Rock that speaks of the joy of living and loving: unusual, right? Rock that joyfully rediscovers itself as amateurish and free from academic pretensions: cloying? Thank you very much siniora e siniori (or maybe that’s what he said at the end of Individuellos...)

Music and International Magic!!! Unfortunately, I realized that Klaus is gone. Fortunately, he left us his overflowing joy of life perfectly engraved and untouchable!

It didn't disappoint me that much. In hindsight, many low-fi and pseudo electronic bands today sound exactly like that! Of course, it's not on the level of the other two, but it's still enjoyable to listen to. Rather, can you explain the obsession of many users to poke their noses into genres they don't listen to, don't appreciate, and don't know? I usually feel embarrassed to express opinions on things that aren’t my domain...
Michael Rother Katzenmusik

The rediscovery of certain characters is a must: we find that today's music hasn't strayed too far. This is my favorite album by Michael Rother, very emotional, a high-quality minimalist exercise. What Mike Oldfield could have done too if he had a little more humility.

"Sterntaler" (the piece) is pure joy set to music! Always great review, thank you!

Great! But you know that I prefer Katzenmusik? Of course, the title track... there couldn't be a better title!

Musically I like it, but my problem with this album is the lyrics. I'm not disputing the content, but metrically they clash a bit with the music (and this was an issue that many bands of our local prog faced).

"Let me into your sweet dreams"... and at fifty, King Diamond shows he can still comfortably kick the * out of Marilyn Manson and family!

I wonder why good Steve Silvester had to copy the cover of "Welcome to my Nightmares" by Alice Cooper.
