Le Orme La Via Della Seta
Voto:
As a "neo-prog" album, it has all the sacred rites, but it's here that a bit of "La Via della Seta" disappointed me. The historic Le Orme, up until 1982, have always guaranteed their willingness to explore; even when they occasionally missed the mark (I think of Smogmagica), they always had the courage to venture into new territories, into unprecedented sonic solutions while keeping the dimension of "song" in mind. Since "Il Fiume," however, they have firmly anchored themselves to a classic progressive style—well played, well composed—but for me, less intriguing.

An album capable of making my hair grow back, strictly with a center part (maybe... sigh)
Il Festival di Sanremo Sanremo 2021:la bolgia umana va in vacanza a Santa Marinella

What a Herculean effort, yours! I watch the festival every year; you never know, there might be a surprise every now and then. This year I was amazed by Coma_Cose, never heard of them before. At first listen, their song irritated me, but then it became engaging and touching. I’ll stick up for Bugo: in my opinion, he brought the most beautiful lyrics of the festival, a perfect description of a man (understood as a male human being) reaching middle age without wanting to grow up, but perhaps that’s where his strength lies. Great sincerity (the music, though, isn’t that great, it’s true, but we’re always at Sanremo).

I don’t really know what rating to give this work (and in fact I abstain). Some elements seem to come from other albums (in the more cosmic moments I recognized a couple of excerpts from "Origin of supernatural probabilities" and "Atem"), while some of the more rhythmic sequences sound a bit too modern to me (such as the one in Act 2: Battle, for example). However, there's plenty of good music. It’s a bit like the numerous historic live recordings that can now be easily found on YouTube: certain moments are even better than their studio albums.

The image and your description are thrilling, and they remind me of the beauty of the spirit of mountaineering, often misunderstood because it seems to belong to a select few (it doesn’t belong to me, for instance, and I hold the mountains in sacred reverential awe... @[De...Marga...] the east face of Rosa, I even dream about it sometimes). Too many see only the competition, the need to raise the bar to feel magnificent, or to take a glorious selfie.

True: you encouraged me!! So much that I waited a few days to see if by any chance you would write it yourself.

I have greatly reassessed Tangerine Dream from the 80s, at least up to Poland and something from Le Parc, with a soft spot for Exit and Hyperborea. I have this on cassette (original).
