I read it too twenty years ago (almost twenty-one now), and as a teenager, it thrilled me to the point that I almost took it for a historical text. I have always been impressed by the way it is structured, so the first fifty pages have almost the heaviness of an essay, then the pace quickens to the point of forcing you to keep your eyes glued to the text.

I have the impression that "Collage" has aged better. Some sounds are less nimble, I have never fully digested "La Porta Chiusa," "Alienazione" has always seemed a bit thrown in there, just to create an instrumental. But I certainly don't dispute the quality of this album.

It's worth checking the latest comments and finding the review you don't expect. I really like this album for its extreme kindness and a happily maintained spontaneous freshness; "Grail" is definitely my favorite track from the collection. The review seems a bit too rushed to me: why not explain why the tracks from the fourth one onward would be filler? I almost forgot: among the bonus tracks, "Fools Gold" is also a gem.

I saw the mentioned video by Matt Rach. For heaven's sake, he's very good, regardless of age, but the arrangement (which, among other things, I've heard somewhere else) of Pachelbel's Canon cries out for vengeance in the presence of God! I've cherished this album since I was fourteen. There might be some garishness, but there's also a lot of feeling and some definitely interesting solutions. And the cover... well, kitsch it may be, but it's executed very well, I would even say with a certain delicacy (more than anything, it makes me smile to think of Malmsteen in that position nowadays... poor menisci).

This is a nice throwback. I'm not really someone who listens to much punk, nor would I know how to express a critical judgment on a punk product (it's just not my thing, end of story). I swear, though, that the chorus "oRore, oRore, mi fai vomitare" (yes, "orrore" seems to be sung with a single "r") has stuck in my ears (even if this statement gives more the idea that I don't like to wash...)

@Psychopompe: just because in this album the formula is still that of the power-duo. Obviously, the results are quite different!

I don't know the album, but I'm intrigued by the fate that brings together, one after another, two reviews of guitar-oriented works!

This album is simply outstanding, a trip with a smile on your lips, but also some good loud laughs.
