Nomadi Un giorno insieme
Voto:
I've never had much sympathy for the Nomadi, but some of their songs - definitely among their most famous - are surely in my heart. Among these are Crescerai, Io Vagabondo, Il Destino (probably my favorite). I also appreciate reviews written with passion.
Olivier Messiaen Quarour Pour La Fin Du Temps

I didn't give my best because - for personal reasons - I'm becoming highly intolerant to acronyms. Otherwise, yours is a very interesting essay on a work and a composer that deeply fascinate me (I would be satisfied just with his passion/study for bird song). Moreover, last September I had the pleasure of listening to the Quatour live as part of the MiTo.

I gladly return after years to vote (with the highest score) for the work and to say clearly and straightforwardly that certain passages really freak me out... Hearing lyrics like "You won't go to heaven, you won't go to hell / You'll remain in your grave with the stench and the smell" always puts me to the test.
Zerocalcare Strappare lungo i bordi

I tried to watch it, but I can't connect. It talks about a generation of former teenagers that I've never liked, blandly (and artificially) alternative, falsely (pro)working-class, rocker because "I don't blend in with those who go to the club" (but I go to concerts to pick up). The aspects I appreciated the most are the childhood memories, which seem less affected and more genuine. I also realize, however, that I'm not the right age to truly enjoy or understand this series.

Edit to the review: "Read and reread, you never finish! Between a "Steve" Wonder (thanks for the tip) and a "bassa"...". See the old version 3+3 - The Isley Brothers - recensione Versione 1

I should revisit it, because the only thing I remember is how kitsch the fashion of the characters' outfits was... Great review.

A beautiful excursus on a work from which one can draw infinite reflections; I have always particularly liked the ending, with a truly unpleasant Alex, yet capable of giving a bit of hope: in the end, the human soul, for better or worse, cannot be conditioned forever (even though there seems to be an unsettling message: that those who are born to lead will eventually succeed). I had written it under another review: a few years ago I happened to watch "Un Americano a Roma" in its entirety, something I had never done before, and the ending surprised me, because it is practically identical to that of A Clockwork Orange!
Tod Browning Freaks
Voto:
Premised that I wouldn't know what grade to give to the work (which has always seemed a bit hastily done to me, thus a bit incomplete), I really liked, in the review, the emphasis on the everyday life of the "freaks," so that right from the start of the film, there’s an air of totally plausible normality. However, in the ending, this sympathy is lost: the "freaks," in my eyes, become (or reveal themselves to be) monsters, who experience punishment as a ritual of an esoteric cult.

Somewhere over the raiMbow... (could you correct it? They are fun and entertaining, Akkerman giant guitarist, in every sense)

Just a few words about Marlene Dietrich, who happened to be on set just to say hello to Welles and was then drawn into the film with a character written on the spot. In the final commentary, a mere shift of her gaze is enough for Marlene to convey a wave of different emotions: it's a scene that has always left me speechless.
