Thank you for the visit. @Ligdjs: I know, these things are rare and, to be honest, I tracked them down by firing up the mule (by the way: I discovered them through an online vintage music radio). However, on YouTube, you can find many of their tracks, including those from this Christmas album - if you want to give it a listen... By the way: happy new year to everyone!

For me too, this operation has come too late, and I found it a bit affected. Can I be picky? The singer's last name is Spitaleri.

Curious album, with some very nice moments. I’m quite crazy about "Un ragazzo d'argento," with that persistent synth sequence and the funky rhythm. Speaking of prophets from the second half of the '70s: as you mention the Area, I think of Le Orme, who in 1976 included the track "E' finita una stagione" on the B-side of "Canzone d'Amore," a beautiful example of early Italian new wave (as will happen in several tracks from "Verità Nascoste") with a Germano Serafin in the limelight... ah, what nostalgia!

^Actually, there are whispers that Tagliapietra was a cover... but I'll leave the rest for the next episode of Voyager ;_D

This is a very pleasant proposal that analyzes the merits of the reissue. I'm particularly intrigued by the discussion on "Mamunia," where the bass and synthesizer sounds you mention have always reminded me of the sound of an Italian band I adore, Le Orme (just to be clear: I'm making a comparison, I wouldn't dare to say that McCartney was looking at Tagliapietra and Pagliuca).
Charlotte Brontë Jane Eyre

A beautiful novel, featuring one of the most profoundly and truly human heroines in literature. Jane, however, is more than just the Victorian stereotype; she is an independent woman, capable of choices that would have made her contemporaries pale in comparison.

Ah, the beautiful metal of the '80s, when it smelled of the future...
