Billie Eilish WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?

You say to give her time, and you’re right. Because yes, it’s interesting, but it has the same effect on me as Alanis Morissette did back in the day: what will happen to her when her adolescence ends?

The director of Martyrs... It's clear that female solidarity is very dear to him! I also found a hint of Baby Jane in it. The review captures the essence of terror in this film well... And considering the tribute to Lovecraft, I think I’m going to reread "The Terrible Old Man."

Well, it's the second time I've heard about him, so I guess I should give him a listen!
Paul Chain Opera Decima - The World of the End
Voto:
I don't know this work, but Paul Chain is an artist who has fascinated me since I was a teenager, when the radio (Peter Flowers) played his tracks, that sent shivers down my spine and took me far away. He wasn't played often, but when he was, it was like saying "everyone shut up!" and my room became a cathedral... I have always felt proud to see how admired he is abroad. As far as I'm concerned, this is the review of the moment.
Lars von Trier La casa di Jack

I'll say it right away, I didn't like it. Maybe I don't get along well with Von Trier in general, I won't deny that. It's true everything you write about the deeper motivations of the film, but what I didn't appreciate is that they are directly stated in the movie, it also takes away my pleasure in interpreting, reading symbols, browsing here and there. Speaking of a serial killer, I would have expected to feel unease and discomfort (not fear, I knew it wasn't a thriller, for goodness' sake), but in the end it felt like I was watching an incredibly long episode of Mr. Pickles, drained of all the fun. I enjoyed more the digressions into childhood... [SPOILER ALERT: but do you really think he made the child do that atrocity to the duckling?]

After watching the video on TV again, I've been dedicating 5 minutes each day to listening to "Glittering Prize." It's a track that I've always loved since it was released back in 1982, with a creative bassline like few others in rock (and to think that Forbes doesn't even appear in the video!), an unmatched atmosphere. Of course, I also adore the rest of the album.

A priceless mention, considering that, besides Decibel, the only name I would associate with the scene by itself is that of Krisma.

You manage to make me feel nostalgia for a time (the early 90s) that I’ve always found musically unappealing, them included (on second listen, they weren't even that bad). When it comes to Italian bands, I’ve had a chip on my shoulder ever since yesterday, while playing Fight List, I was offered the category "Italian bands from yesterday and today"; I wrote Le Orme and it didn't recognize them...

And I would like to add: it's not a feminist film!

I liked almost everything about the film, except for the ending - almost a splatter version of Harry Potter. But for the rest, it was all very nice, and the tribute to Argento is definitely there, echoing the narrative twists of the original Suspiria and evoking its shots (without directly copying them). Frankly, I don't understand those who found it boring.
