I liked Zucchero's "Oro, Incenso e Birra"; after that, he started a downward spiral both as an artist and, especially, as a person: like the disputes with Staffelli from Striscia (I spit in your mouth...) or certain lapses in style during his concerts (probably due to drug use or excessive alcohol). However, I must acknowledge that some of his borrowed pieces are better than the originals (and that's saying something).

It's legendary here in Ticino. Steve Lee unfortunately is gone; in Switzerland, he was a star, but one of those who never acted all high and mighty, you could run into him even at the supermarket. By the way, I worked next to a barn (and I'm not joking) that in the '80s served as a gathering place for a group where the young Steve Lee played.

The Negrita live are very good; if rock music is understood as that kind of music with guitarists who play like gods, rooted in a distinctly blues matrix, a singer who doesn’t scream and grunt but sings with heart and soul, that music where the whole band together gives you a nice adrenaline rush when you attend their concerts. Well, for this and other reasons, Negrita are a great Italian rock 'n' roll band. Amen.

In my opinion, Tom Petty is a great songwriter, far superior to John Mellencamp. There are contemporary artists who recognize his immense artistic value; even Dave Grohl dedicated a song to him this year. Mike Campbell is an excellent guitarist who fits perfectly with Petty's sound and voice. As early as '85, he showcased his talent on Don Henley's Eagles song, "Boys of Summer."
