Anyway, Empire and Promised Land weren't bad at all for me...

Anyway, for the record, this is the only one of theirs that I can listen to from start to finish, aided by its short duration and, above all, a less polished sound.

Well, I'm glad that you enjoyed the concert after all. I would have thought the opposite after reading the first part of the review...

While I partly agree with your argument, it seems to me that in some ways you’re being a bit heavy-handed with the metal. Sure, they’re doing post stuff since 2013, but bands like Isis, Neurosis, and in some ways even Tool were already applying these concepts to metal long before that. If someone is a bit informed on the subject, I don’t think they would consider Oceans’ current proposal a novelty... Yet, even in rock, find me today bands that are truly doing something new or how many are relying on reinterpretations/collages rather than outright revivals... I’d say the situation isn’t that different after all...

Nice film if watched without expectations, of course it’s basically Pirates of the Caribbean shifted to the Wild West, but for an evening with friends it’s just fine and it even makes you smile in certain parts.
