Neil Blomkamp Elysium

fully agreed, truly terrible in everything, among other things also a nice dose of demagoguery to spice it all up which never hurts... really a big disappointment after District 9. however, the problem is that it really sucks even as a simple action movie, without making bulky comparisons...
Scritti Politti Cupid & Psyche 85

they are among the few known names of the new wave that I completely ignore, I know that in Italy in general they are less popular compared to other names, but in the post-punk book, Reynolds spoke of them quite favorably...
Megadeth Super Collider

killing is my business, peace sells, and rust in peace were all great albums, but then enough...
Franz Ferdinand Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action

Well, in my opinion, they are like many successful "indie" bands today; they’re not really bad and they can be enjoyable to listen to while goofing off, but nothing worth tearing your hair out over... already Wilco and early Interpols, but also Okkervil River are several steps ahead.

rece good, of this kind I only know the fundamental ones mentioned practically (+ the great Godflesh; I'm not sure if Rammstein can be partially traced back to the genre, even though many do...)
Okkervil River The Silver Gymnasium

black sheep boy nice, but for now I think I'm okay with them, too much stuff to listen to! :)
Flying Lotus Until The Quiet Comes

really very beautiful
Arctic Monkeys Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I Am Not

Well, I had never heard anything from them except for a few random tracks in clubs; instead, I must say that contrary to my prejudices, this record is really nice and perfectly suited for listening in the car with friends, simple enough to please even the less "experienced," but not so crude that it becomes unbearable.
Janelle Monáe The Electric Lady

I really enjoyed the previous one, an album that blended black music with classy pop and was very easy to listen to. I haven't listened to this one yet, but overall I've heard mostly skeptical opinions...
Roisin Murphy Orally Fixated

mh, maybe I'll try to listen to the moloko, since I adore portishead... but by the way, are the rumors true that they are working on a new album?
