Thank you, Bartle, for the clarifications. Indeed, in light of your more erudite and seasoned ears for certain listens, I am certain that the aforementioned album may not warrant 5 stars. I certainly exceeded in enthusiasm, which I partially justify since I don't have a background as comprehensive as yours (and ignorance is always a fault, although I'm not completely in the dark). I admit, for example, that I am candidly unfamiliar with the Grave Digger and Running Wilde you mentioned. It’s also true that there are as many metal bands as there are anemones on a coral reef, but there aren't many that play with such skill and utilize Pike's impressive croak. Allow me this.

If you’re referring to "Art of Self-Defense," you might be right. I listened to it poorly and infrequently because I downloaded it, but I believe the quality was terrible. I haven’t found the original yet. However, these are different things; it doesn’t seem to me that we are facing a contemptible work or one that is flattened onto a single repetitive cliché. I repeat, one might not like a certain turn, but there are still some of their peculiar nuances. In short, it doesn’t seem so flat to me. If someone doesn’t like certain slightly more metal nuances, it can’t be said that they suck... or can it?

Kemo, if you also write the review, I will read it with pleasure. And let it be clear that I consider the criticisms of the album (even if I don’t share them) to be highly authoritative because they come from users with impeccable musical culture.

One might prefer certain stoner-sludge sounds from the past over these latest ones, which tend to lean towards metal-thrash, and that’s fine by me. I don’t agree when it comes to crystallization and banality; it’s more metal (and I’m even writing it) but it’s not just metal. And all this extra melody isn’t something I really see. I still find a skillful mix of the same ingredients in different proportions. Anyway, I really quite like this little disc, I’m really wearing it out. Thank you to everyone, both those who agree and those who don’t ;D

Just think that fedezan has taken the trouble to post his insignificant 1 on all my reviews. We are faced with a new blatant human case.
