Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso Io Sono Nato Libero
Voto:
Beautiful review of the best Italian Prog album of all time! In my opinion, Banco has no equals; I prefer it to an Arbeit macht Frei by Area, to a Crac, to L'isola di Niente, and a storia di un minuto by Pfm... In short, it's the best of the best, an unreachable peak in my view. Canto nomade per un prigioniero politico is a quarter of an hour of one's life spent VERY well, ah ah ah.
Le Orme Collage

@ Vic: Oh no, oh no dear Manzoni, if you like this shit so much, you can box it up and put it up for auction, but don’t throw shit on a work like Collage delle Orme, one of the first Prog examples in Italy. I’m absolutely right; there's a lack of respect for history, damn it. If you don’t like these bands, show some respect for what they have done and represented.

Vic, you're worse than Manzoni, not the great Alessandro, but that crap of an artist! Did you get it??? ah ah ah. The album is, in my opinion, the last valid one from Metallica. Great album; if they had maintained these levels in the subsequent ones and had a more consistent output in the studio, it would have been better, but unfortunately it didn't go that way. The review is the worst I've ever read, and then there are the bullshit they commercialized, what obtuseness! They changed, but here the music is of quality, and that's what counts! This is the album that contains Nothing Else Matters - Wherever I May Roam - Sad But True - The Unforgiven... These are fantastic pieces, hats off! I (in my humble opinion) believe that the subsequent Load and Reload are really down, down...

This new tour is going to be amazing, you see them three years ago and they're still a war machine. Great review.

I gave you a lot of examples and provided plenty of reasons in the previous message, but to you, they are just insults. Look, it's really better if we end it here; you keep thinking that way along with a few others, the Queen are a useless band. I, along with a few million people and a ton of artists from every genre, will think the opposite. And before demanding to teach (what a nerve), try talking about MUSIC not about records—this isn't a quiz! Anyway, I'm even more of an idiot than you for replying to your nonsense at eleven at night, ah ah ah bye, goodbye.

But I also responded to you with reasoning, and from you, I can only close my mind with prejudice. I listen to a lot of music (I have much broader horizons than the 40 genres played by Queen, just to clarify, haha :-)), I'm speaking with knowledge here; you’re not touching the only band I know, you’re touching the band that ignited my passion for music, so it’s even worse and you’re talking nonsense because you're not talking about MUSIC, but about records: “These did it before them, these the same, at most you can recognize them…” Who are you to say that? Your statements are strong and subjective, and therefore debatable. Second point, you say that when it comes to Queen's albums, we can't talk about masterpieces, and here we should take what you say as true, indeed an album like "Made in Heaven" is only me, the unique fool on the face of the earth, to consider it as such. But how stupid I must have been, I should have known some guru from Debaser to enlighten me and make me understand that Queen is a useless band; I’ve been an idiot to listen to such a band for years and years. I offend you because you offend me when you compare Queen to Mika. Are you kidding? You act so knowledgeable, wanting to “teach” me something (you're a well of musical knowledge), and you compare Queen to Mika? Just because the singer is gay, or presumably so? I see no other resemblance, and I know Queen better than you. It's the journalists trying to launch this phenomenon: "The new Freddie Mercury"... He doesn’t do even half of what Freddie did, neither physically nor artistically. You offend me when you say: “But let’s not say…” and I, on the other hand, will say and will always say what I deem appropriate, since you all here are running wild and free to slam a great band like Queen.

@47: Don't take my statements seriously, obviously :-) But what you say about Queen doesn't sit well with me, and you know it! Peace

Oh 47 Is it not enough for you to shred the Queen, do you also want to trash Opeth? Let’s hear what could possibly be horrible about such an album??? You’re giving it a 1, but what music do you listen to that allows you to trash people like Queen and Opeth? In my opinion, you’re the most incompetent one here on Debaser, no offense meant.
Regarding Bisius's analysis, how could the absence of Lindgren affect things when Akerfeldt himself stated in a recent interview that (except for a brief period) he prefers to work alone?
And then there's Burden, the best track of the bunch in my view. What’s wrong with nearly 8 minutes of acoustic music? You’ve managed to easily brush that off as well... But did you notice the melancholic piano intro? That stunning 70s-style keyboard solo?? Damn, it gives me chills; it feels like hearing John Lord... The solo around four minutes in?? Intense and played with feeling, not just technique... (There’s also plenty of that on the album, since the former Arch Enemy has plenty to offer, damn it) With that light distortion and that unmistakably OPETH sound reminds me a lot of Damnation.
You say there’s little growl, but I think that’s a good thing; the darker tones of this album would not blend well with growling. Mike is free to do whatever he wants, in my opinion; the important thing is that he makes great music, and he hasn’t missed a beat since Orchid.

THE BEST. Look, I’ve read dozens of offensive comments, but your comment number 47 (a number that by the way reminds me of another great expert, 47 know that I hate you more than you hate me:-), surpasses them all. You not only despise a group that made history, but you also call millions of people losers. How old are you? I hope no more than fifteen; otherwise, you’re commenting on yourself – I don’t need to offend you. If you have an inner voice, you’ll understand that what you’re saying is wrong, self-serving, and unconstructive.

@ Dallas: Never said they're geniuses! They make great "fun" Rock n Roll, as noted in the review! Well, then it's full of similar riffs, just like "Wasted Time" by Edguy from the album "Rocket Ride" (2007) and "Anya" by Deep Purple from "The Battle Rages On" (1993).
