Lilys In the Presence of Nothing

I have it on vinyl. Great record. Very indebted to the MBV. After this, they focused on a simpler indie-rock. However, their most beautiful work, in my opinion, remains the EP released in '94 "A Brief History of Amazing Letdowns," truly a gem for me.

Well. What the hell does it mean? Grunge? I've never understood that word. The funny thing is that the so-called 'grunge' bands didn't even know they were making 'grunge' back then. And anyway, WAKE UP! We're almost in 2015!

Another band for which I’ve made quite a few enemies over the years. I'll say it here too: they drive me crazy. Always have. Always will.

This guy has never told me a damn thing. Even though I'm a fan of low fidelity and everything it has to offer.

I listened to Bong's 'Stoner Rock'...my balls pierced the Earth's crust and popped up in the other hemisphere.

I'll be honest: many, many years ago when that album with the gun on the cover came out, in 1995, I was pleasantly surprised by Grohl. That little disc was full of great songs, Bob Mould could have called his lawyers, but they were great songs. Too bad they kept going...
Scott Walker+Sunn O))) Soused
Voto:
The last one with Ulver had me feeling as frustrated as the late World Trade Center. I have a strange relationship with Sunn; I adored some things ["White 2," and especially "Altar" in collaboration with the great Boris] and hated others. You know what, I’ll download it first and then we’ll see… ps. I’ve never understood Scott Walker, with all due respect.

I still have this big vinyl. A youthful mistake. As a kid, I wore it out. Today, I wouldn't listen to it even under torture.
The Dandy Warhols This Machine
Voto:
Annoying, indeed. I despise these bands that are more focused on their hair and their strutting than on the music. The first album was mediocre but listenable ['Dandy's Rule OK' from '95], the rest for me is smoking shit. With all due respect (not for them, mind you...)
