I still need to understand this album well. After I got it, I immersed myself in it for a couple of days, but I left it behind quickly. I’ll have to pick it up again soon :) Anyway, the quality is all there, they’re a fantastic band, you never know what to expect from each of their new releases. Drum's Not Dead is one of the works that has enchanted me the most in recent years.

You’ll buy this album in the summer of 1997, and honestly, it pissed me off. I liked it a lot, but today I haven't listened to it in years, and I've really toned it down. Just like I’ve toned down Radiohead themselves, who, no matter what they release, the press hails as a miracle. Enough already! Of course, in the second half of the 90s, thank goodness they were around; at least we weren't just talking about crap like Oasis, Pulp, Suede, and the like.

Nice little raw Rn'R disc in the New York Dolls school. You could say they gave the impetus, but that's only partially true if we think about the first 33 of the Damned, the already mentioned New York Dolls, or the Stooges of Raw Power. For me, the true Punk spirit lived elsewhere (Germs, Circle Jerks, Black Flag, Reagan Youth, M.D.C., Urban Waste, but also Johnny Thunders & The Heartbreakers, Dead Boys, X, etc.) _John Lydon will take it to the next level with P.I.L. (the first 3 are serious masterpieces).

U2 are toxic to my tastes. And Bono is as lovable as a finger up the ass. I'm sorry if I might offend the feelings of those who love them, but I have no idea what the hell is beautiful in such crap. Ah, the only work of the four Irishmen that I can save from the immense sea of banality is their debut "Boy," which for some reason doesn’t make me vomit bile like the rest of their discography.
Pavement Wowee Zowee

The last album by Pavement is truly great, in my opinion. It deserves a solid 4.5, although it doesn't reach the levels of Slanted & Enchanted and especially Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain, my absolute favorite from the band in question. After this, the inspiration has, in my view, slightly faded.

Another great job by the Sonics. Perhaps my favorite from their '90s output. Actually, no perhaps about it. It deserves a 4.5 all the way. "Unwind" brings me to tears.

"AC/DC are incredibly lucky to have a legion of fans willing not only to buy every album, but also unable to realize how ugly it is." Basically, the Vasco Rossi of the land down under. Jokes (not so much) aside, the early albums with Bon Scott were also commendable in their raw and ignorant Rock n' Roll. As for the rest, they never caught my attention at all.
