A well-written review, very enjoyable and fun to read, but... 5??????? Not that they haven't written pleasant dance tracks, but 5 stars... I don't know. "In the Navy," "Sex Over the Phone," and "Go West" are quite valid (especially the latter), but everything else is definitely only suitable for doing its job (filling the dance floor) and lacks any other artistic ambition. Three good songs and many functional songs don’t score a 5 as a result. Of course, I’m speaking from my perspective. And "Macho Man" is the most HIDEOUS and horrible song of all time, it’s unbearable. Not being able to see great musical genius beyond the considerable (that’s true) media genius in building the group, I can’t give more than a 3. All IMHHHO, of course.

@PVC: I agree. When I first saw the video, I was very impressed by both the visuals and the sound; then, each time I watched it again, I understood more and more that it was the images that were the true core of the work and not the sound... and it's a music video!!! I have a vague suspicion that Aphex Twin is a very significant musical episode from the '90s, but it didn't survive the turn of the century. I would vote 4, but given the strong visual dependency that this music has, I'm not entirely sure it deserves this nice score, so today I'm being a bit stingy. Review written with very little objectivity, but in correct and fluent Italian.

I haven't read it, but, well, if the book is like the reviewer describes it, then it seems like a piece of garbage (and let's not say that a genius can't still produce garbage, assuming for a moment that the author in question is a genius).

Simply hateful. I'm sorry you fell for the two singles; by the second listen of "Wonderful," I wanted to amputate my ears. Another cursed mega-flop that's also raking in billions is Lady Gaga: what a sadness, she's deflated, voiceless, devoid of any musical sense and also unattractive. And yes, quality pop does exist... oh well.

Finally, I found a way to make my architecture degree pay off: reviewing buildings on DeBaser!!! XD Jokes aside, great proposal and good review, even though it falls into some small candors favored by a marketing campaign aimed at glorifying the brilliance of this building even before it was erected. The triumph of organicism, asymmetry, the relationship with nature, and generally everything that is praised in this nonetheless splendid building has indeed been taken to the highest levels by the Finnish Alvar Aalto, who created works so brilliant, so extraordinary, and so wonderful that even today the general public hasn't realized how extraordinary they are because they seem too simple to be genius: they are too advanced, seventy years ago just as today. His villas, libraries, hospitals, and so on are the triumph of perfection. That said, Wright has been praised by the leading critics of the twentieth century as a genius for his synthetic ability between East and West, and this truly makes his architecture great: it's glocal before the no-global, ecologist before environmentalism, conceptual before Conceptualism, and minimalist before Minimalism. However, I can't help but wonder if perhaps the waterfall was more beautiful before than it is now, even though the challenge of Man vs. Nature has generated interesting outcomes like this building (considering that Wright took into account the precepts of non-invasiveness from the Athens Charter, and that’s a good thing).

I give a 1 to the review because it is conceptually flawed from the outset: it attempts to judge an album based on just one track, and not even the most representative one. It’s true that the track seems to be written in pure Queen style and it’s probably not a great masterpiece, but I’d say that’s still too little to judge an album. Let’s remember that even "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" had its filler tracks (personally, I find "Lovely Rita" and "Good Morning Good Morning" unbearable, aside from the beautiful finale with the fox hunt), so I wouldn’t be surprised to find less inspired tracks and others that are more successful. I’m looking forward to September 14th.

Great review, excellent proposal, fantastic program: without a doubt, the best ever produced as an original format by MTV Italy. Coppola is as cool as you want and as much of a genius as you think, but he truly has the ability to be on television and say intelligent things (intelligent!) without sounding like a little professor, but rather like the intelligent person he is. I've followed him and I think I will continue to follow him in all his wanderings (from MTV to Rai Due with "Cocktail d'amore" - he was there with Silvestrin - and then back to MTV with "Pavlov" and "Avere ventanni" and now director and head of the publishing house ISBN). An extraordinary character and person. A TV program that is simply GENIUS with a truly innovative language, a SET & graphics that are TRULY innovative, and truly innovative content: young MTV Italy had so much to offer, it has been and still is a shame that it is importing more and more trash from the USA instead of producing new stuff (because it just so happens that the best things they broadcast are ours). Now the best thing about MTV is the night, where they show interesting videos even from emerging realities, with programs like "Super Rock," "Party Zone," "Insomnia," and "Chill Out." During the day, we are increasingly approaching unwatchability. At least they have finally got rid of Enrico Silvestrin, one of the most annoying living beings on the face of the Earth. Unfortunately, Coppola is no longer around either, but since he makes occasional appearances, I sense that there are still connections, and I hope for a comeback sooner or later.

Let's see if I understood Franci's cryptic concluding phrase!: "I stopped playing seriously when the PS2 arrived." I think she's right: the improved computational capabilities of more powerful machines have allowed for the development of better graphics, sound, and other "accessory" elements, but paradoxically, these aesthetic improvements have corresponded to a decline in plots, concepts, and content. At least that's how I see it: the most truly and conceptually brilliant video games in the history of gaming were developed for consoles that had strong limitations and forced developers to limit themselves (or rather, to achieve excellence despite the limits, limitation --> challenge) and to find alternative and equally clever ways to implement their ideas. I don't know if I managed to explain myself clearly...
