Macaco just out of curiosity: when you arrived in Brazil, how much did you know about the customs, traditions, and Brazilian music? Or rather, how much did you think you knew? I admit it may sound like a Marzullo question :)

It has never driven me crazy, not even during the early days of studying guitar (when you usually get attracted to the flashy neck players). I find it, at times, unbearable. No one denies the technical skill, but music is something else. He is a fantastic performer; Zappa "used" him on purpose, but he didn't take anything from Zappa. And honestly, even that "chewing gum" sound of the Ibanez gets old after a while.

Macaco... regards! I join Odradek on the trio. Goodrich is a great guitarist, although I must admit I haven't listened to him much. I had one of his instructional records; it was a method of improvisation with some standards. He certainly doesn't lack in skill.
