You're also guarded in the feeling of sex, in short. Sex. Anyway, a friend of mine says he has replaced the desire to have sex with shopping at the hardware store. He's forty too.

Even the cover looks like one of those patterns on cotton cloths that the niggas sell you at the beach.

@[psychopompe] What news you've given me! On July 16, I should be in the province of Macerata, and I might be able to see the guys live. Let's hope so, damn it, I'm craving that concert vibe like crazy.

I apologize to the reviewer, I was scrolling down the page and the rating was submitted. I didn't mean to vote, comment, or even read.

It's unclear where they want to go with this. Let's hope at least they have fun writing and playing this mush.

It's strange to compare the tone of the reviews written ten years ago for La Macarena on Rome, where practically everyone was targeting Incani like a sitting duck, to the enthusiastic reception of this album. At first glance, it seems long and complex, certainly more challenging to evaluate on the spot compared to Die, for example. For a few days now, I've been playing some tracks and commenting on them with my partner, but I can't make up my mind. It's surely an album that many of us were waiting for, but to be honest, I didn't expect this album.

I didn’t want to create a mess, let alone involve Carlos to make a fuss on my behalf, and I haven’t read all the comments; so I’ll get straight to the point hoping not to repeat what someone else has said. In my house, Battiato’s records have always been played; my parents had the original cassette tapes, and I grew up immersed in the cult of Battiato. So I listened to his albums until I was fed up. I don’t deny Battiato’s value as a musician and composer, who certainly had some ideas in his time. But I honestly don’t understand how one can think that his lyrics offer anything more than exotic suggestions. Carlos is right, at most, they are lyrics that juxtapose images and citations that evoke a certain imaginary, but when it comes down to it, what are these great contents? Apart from the fact that someone who sings lines like "the barricades in the square are made on behalf of the bourgeoisie, which creates false myths of progress" is really out of touch with reality, they are truly lost. And it incidentally shows that they went through their years not understanding a damn thing about what was happening around them; perhaps they were too busy being a neomelotic singer. But leaving aside certain embarrassing positions, what are these great contents? It would be nice to respond for once without hiding behind the usual formulas, "this is your opinion, I have a different opinion," maybe getting into the substance of the issues.

Well, my mouth, be quiet about the supposed "depth" of Battiato's lyrics. I have nothing to say about the musical side, but if you are impressed by quotes from Gurdjieff, al Ghazali, koans, and Arabic Neoplatonism, the problem is yours. And you have to resolve it privately. Because if someone really wanted to delve into the references for themselves, sincerely and with the desire to know whether what they are reading is genuinely serious or just nonsense, well, they would discover some interesting things. If you have to be Neoplatonists at this point, completely waste your brain and sign up for Comunione e Liberazione. At least with the biggest whore, you'll meet someone important and find work in some administrative office of the region.

Just for having survived in Foggia for 21 years, considering it's the shittiest city in the whole ecumene - and anyone who knows Foggia knows what that means - a five for heart and guts.
