What a great piece. For me, Poly Styrene is on the highest pedestal of female punk voices; right behind her, I put Alice Armendariz from The Bags and Exene from X. Come on, the review is nice.

I had spotted it yesterday afternoon and had promised myself to come back to comment. To be honest, it's a nice little disc that has never driven me crazy (aside from "The Real Thing," I really don't remember much). But I had no idea about the entire historical background of the recording. In short, you wrote about it well, and I'm glad I read it. How foolish of me that when I went to Florence I not only didn't try the lampredotto, not only did I not wait three hours to see the Duomo, but I even failed to get the record made by Rob Younger.
