Marcus Miller The Sun Don't Lie
Voto:
Despite the reported grammatical errors, your love for the "Mondo Miles" shines through, that is the group of extraordinary musicians who surrounded the Black Prince in the 70s and 80s, including Miller (I confide in you that this is the only historical TWENTY YEARS that I like to remember!) To put it "in Dr. Adder's style," the record is a 4.7 recurring, stunning in some tracks, slightly redundant in others. Miller has a sensational technique, I certainly won’t be the one to discover that. A greeting to the new de-reviewer.
David Bromberg The Best Of David Bromberg - Out Of The Blues

From Dr. Adder, never a drop in quality, only reviews from 4 and up. I don't know this Bromberg, but I have plenty of material from Brian Bromberg, the bass phenomenon. Best regards...

Never covered, but I will make up for it. Wonderful review.

What a beautiful review. Well done, lavalin, truly, without reservations.
Carla Bley The Lost Chords Find Paolo Fresu
Voto:
Jake, the review would be 4.5, but given the subject matter, the score is 5.
I heard the album in a friend's car once; I don't want to pass judgment. I'm not so sure about Fresu's technique, you know... here I defer to the judgment of the trumpeters on Debaser, if there are any. I like Fresu when he's all-blue(s), with few but deep and thick notes.
By the way, I got the Eddie Palmieri Syndrome. Do you think it's serious? Will I recover?
Regards to the coyote.

And I arrive late (as usual). Great review dolphy, (as usual). Overall, I share the themes that you have so well articulated. However, as the good muito reminded us, even in 1920s New Orleans, many black artists drew inspiration from European music. Speaking of which, if you're interested, I’ll share this link with you: Mauro Bonicelli

It's an interview by Arrigo Polillo with Joe Venuti, who recounts his experience as a musician during the ragtime era. Apologies for the length of the comment. Regards.

CJBS next time let's join forces to write a review of another concept album, inspired by the instruction manual of my air conditioner. You choose the cover :)

I hadn't read this yet. Great record, although among these extraordinary musicians I prefer "Brasil," recorded during the end of the regime. But please, no mud on the Count, he doesn’t deserve it :))))

Having read the book, the title of the album caught my attention and I agree with you; it’s a concept album and it’s right not to say too much. Regards.
