But do you think, dear Primiballi, that there are standards? Does a logic truly exist in judging? Sometimes I wonder what is ugly and what is beautiful in musical terms; beauty for most people is wrongly tied to the catchiness of a piece rather than to its complexity, originality, the passion it conveys, and the technical execution. Could this be why 90% of the songs that play on the radio have such absurd and inexplicable success? It’s the eternal issue of subjectivity versus objectivity; I would love for someone to be able to prove that standards exist on solid grounds, but I fear it’s impossible! The difficult judgment is yours...

I 100% agree with the COOLERMASTER speech in post n°107. We are facing the last true rock masterpiece of Blasco; from there on, a veil of sadness covers almost everything... and the anguish of the album Stupido Hotel, where I think we really hit rock bottom. Musically, however, Nesun pericolo per te is my favorite from Vasco's entire discography; it contains fantastic guitars (and more)... this is the reason for my vote.

Lewis, I won’t elaborate, as I already mentioned to the good Primiballi, I haven’t technically judged the album; it seems rather obvious to me. It’s a personal opinion and that’s it. Maybe it’s because I love the songs it contains (especially in the live version) compared to other albums, maybe it’s because it’s part of a beautiful period, or maybe it’s because from that point on, things started to decline. I don’t want to impose my opinion on anyone. I don't know Negazione deeply, having only heard a bit, and I'm not a fan of hardcore punk, so I won’t comment. It’s a bit like with Lux and the great Stef Burns; that’s why I recommended some albums to him from post-91. That’s all.

CAGATOREDICAZZIUMANI, you probably have some serious comprehension issues, so let’s take it step by step: 1- I just wanted to make you understand what I think of people like you, and I'm sure that the minute I dedicated to you (even if it was wasted) hasn’t affected my other activities for the day (alas, I’m dedicating another one to you, certainly the last) 2- In my response, I perfectly explained why I initially approached DB and the reviews on Vasco Rossi: see, it was out of curiosity about the blatant hatred that emerged in a discussion among friends. Once I finish this section, I will happily expand my horizons towards whoever I like without feeling the need to comment aimlessly (you should know something about that) or to seek your approval/consent 3- Because I hope (actually I’m sure) that there are people on DB who are clearly more intelligent, communicative, and reasonable than you. In any case, feel free to count me among your countless KAZZIUMANI; it doesn’t affect me at all, just make sure to leave me alone for good. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

LUX okay, I understand and respect your point. I just wanted to emphasize that I listen to and have listened to better music than Vasco every day, of course, that doesn't mean I consider all of the singer from Zocca's work trash. I repeat that there’s a big difference between supporting this thesis and saying I ONLY LISTEN TO VASCO... My curiosity was mainly focused on the “guitaristic” discourse since I had a heart setback reading your post where you said: “Stef Burns plays like an average rocker, that is, as much flashy as impersonal, his solos are the typical clean guitar solos without meaning, pure aesthetic taste, no functional purpose.” Anyway, if you take advice from a fool like me, in addition to what you prefer, just out of curiosity, try listening to albums like “Swamp tea” or “Bayshore road” with Peppino d’Agostino, or the latest “World, universe, infinity,” so you can avoid associating it for a moment with the evil monster (Vasco). I hope your opinion radically changes. Best regards.

Lux, yesterday you wrote, "I'm not starting the 'exciting guitarist' discussion, since it's not so much about evoking emotions as it is about narrating them. Mine is a non-technical discourse, as you will have understood. It's too long of a discussion, now I have to go!" When/if you have the desire and time, can you explain your thoughts to me? This certainly intrigues me more than discussions about Vasco. Thank you.

Dear (rea) CONTATOREDICAZZIUMANI, if you had read my posts carefully, you would have also perceived (since I specifically mentioned it) that Vasco represents 0.5% of the music I listen to. The fact that I recently stumbled upon this site and CASUALLY began reading these reviews (as recommended by a friend who was shocked by your hate) doesn’t necessarily mean that I exclusively listen to this guy. The fact that I haven’t written much, if anything, about other artists signifies that fortunately, in life, I have other things to think about, unlike you dear CAZZOUMANO who spends your time insulting people in reviews of artists that don’t even interest you. Having also specified multiple times that I am not a spokesperson for the belief that Vasco=Dio and everything else=shit confirms to me that perhaps your delusion of omnipotence should fade... and you should probably seek the CAZZOUMANO within yourself. Moreover, among my kagate, ops.. opinions (if you had read them properly) you would have perceived arguments that are a bit broader. Actually, sorry, I forgot that anyone who tries to think for a moment about the VASCO discourse on DB is a default loser… forgive me and take care.

Iside, I'm sure you're a good connoisseur of music; besides, we have more or less the same tastes. But why so much hatred and stubbornness towards an Italian reality that is, all in all, revolutionary and not that bad? It's not a crime to occupy a market niche. Don't you ever doubt that those millions of people who love it (maybe who have loved it...) aren't all ignorant sheep? The fact that he somehow managed to reach the hearts of people, even though he isn't a phenomenon, must surely be a big fault? Is making money with music inherently a crime? If you were in his place, wouldn't you have done it? Let's say he got lucky, okay, others less so, but believe me, not by choice...
