The first two were decent discs, nothing extraordinary but you certainly wouldn't throw them away. I haven't heard this one yet.

Never heard of you, I take for granted what you say.

A little-underappreciated album but absolutely well-crafted with 2-3 standout tracks. The review is just fine.

Welcome Gabriel! The review is acceptable, I don’t seem to see any glaring errors. The album, unfortunately, disappointed me, as I am a big fan of Mr. E.

It was not in the utopia of breaking through. It happened that foreign record labels sought Italian groups or songwriters in order to propose English versions (and there are those who missed that train due to the shortsightedness of record labels), in such a way as to produce greater diffusion, believing Italian to be a prohibitive language to listen to, despite appreciating the music those artists could produce. Then there are those who had no qualms about adapting, learning Italian and then praising local records (for example, this happened with De André, who found more than one foreign writer or songwriter speaking highly of his songs).

In my opinion, your assessment reveals two issues: the consideration of the Italian language and originality. I don’t believe that a group like Banco del Mutuo Soccorso ever grappled with the problem of language or the need for originality at all costs, and yet they belong to that elite group of bands that has likely garnered more admirers abroad than at home! It’s more challenging, but they don’t dwell too much on the issue, and in the end, we don’t either, considering that very few actually take the time to read the lyrics in English (in other languages, they don’t even try).

"In any case, I only consider those who, in addition to being Italian, also sing in Italian because it's too easy to get recognized abroad by singing in English. So besides CCCP, the best ones, in my opinion, are Litfiba, Negazione, Area, and Strana Officina." Let's see if I understood your reasoning: you exclude a priori groups that sing in English (that's why you mentioned Strana Officina; otherwise, I would have seen Vanadium?) or groups that haven't shown much interest in getting known outside of Italy (so, for example, Diaframma). Right?

"one of the only groups we can truly boast about," could you give me some other names? This way we can keep the debate alive a bit.
