Masterpiece: captivating plot, ensemble narration, memorable characters, multiple levels of reading, and under a creative commons license (omnia sunt communia!). What more could one want!

For the first time, I'm giving a 5 to an album I've never listened to!

Undoubtedly stylish review. I share many of your opinions about the concert, but I think that the "hair in the soup" of the acoustics, present in practically every dynamic crescendo, was particularly detrimental to Marcotulli. Then I feel the need to come out: Torto's vocal style (undoubtedly technically very skilled) represents what I most viscerally dislike about a certain way of using the voice... but here we enter into personal tastes and risk the intervention of the big Indian chief "Esticazzi" ;-)

It's a shame I wasn't there... I'm waiting for the remaining reports from the other nights (curious to know who hasn't aged well)!

The proposal is interesting. Once I have a chance to listen to it, I'll let you know what I think about the music.
Neurosis A Sun That Never Sets

Great review: it captures well the moods and atmospheres present in Neurosis' albums. Perhaps with "A Sun..." the band halts its evolutionary journey that had added further allure to the undeniable qualities of their music (given the results achieved, I would say I don't think it can be held against them)... but the levels are still stratospheric.

Well, the fact that they don't indulge in self-serving acrobatics could make them appealing to me... then I wonder if the interest comes more from the group itself or from the expectations that Jake's excellent reviews can create :-)

Well, the mats represent one of those groups that I stubbornly keep delaying direct acquaintance with: this excellent review seems like a great push to stop procrastinating!
Crass Bloody Revolutions

The Crass had a remarkable ability to synthesize a depth of analysis into a song, not to mention an ironclad consistency. For chronological reasons, I discovered their albums well after the band had disbanded, and after I had approached "punk-rock" via the Sex Pistols and, above all, The Clash. Undoubtedly, the Crass possessed, in addition to the two aforementioned qualities, the knack for writing lyrics that pushed you to take a stand—whether for or against—which, especially in these times, seems like something I would like to understand how to reproduce.
