Put yourself in the shoes of a Queensryche fan who, after "Promised Land" (!!!), encounters that album with the tin ears on the cover, and then you'll know what I mean...

"Hear in The Now Frontier" wasn't an artistic flop? But if it makes people evacuate!

@vuji: take it easy with the insults, little rascal, you might hurt yourself.
Speaking as a former one, I must say that on average the views of the average metalhead are indeed rather narrow, but it’s worth noting that there are branches of metal that theoretically allow for a very diverse range of music while still staying within the genre.
As for Mr. Cobain, in light of how things ended for him, one can say he wasn’t the best guitarist but at least he was honest in what he did, and when he sang about discomfort, suicide, and depression; Nirvana paved the way for a good part of ‘90s rock, and Mr. Kravitz did the same for much of the '90s (and the '00s) with his bullshit.

Here it is, he sold his soul and ass to the market... It was (vaguely) better when he was less pretentious: he copied from anyone, because he never had an original idea, but at least you could feel the passion in certain tracks like "Always On The Run."

I didn't quite understand the record label's move either; they could have taken the concert (also recorded on video) as it was and published the soundtrack in 2 distinct parts. Instead, they dragged it out and messed up the lineup, probably releasing the best songs on the first CD. We're not at the level of live shows with PFM, but after all, it's still De André...

I quote Nevskji 101%. I've seen DT in concert three times, listened to them for years thinking they were the undisputed geniuses of music, although now I've slightly reassessed my opinions about them. I don't know how old our Splinter is, but I see myself in him 10 years ago, strong in his convictions even if a bit naïve... I believe I've improved since then, and I no longer consider myself a clueless jerk like you, GiudiceWoodcock; in fact, I'm maybe a bit more open and less "radical chic." Unfortunately, the review isn't written very well.

But, Dull_Flame, you’re asking for it too... You could avoid allowing anonymous comments, so all these little keyboard warriors would find something else to do. Maybe next time, try not to rate yourself either...

I was just starting to feel nostalgic for this album and for your review... At least Bjork can sing and has a nice voice. Stop annoying us!

@Barbanera: The review is not among the recommended ones simply because it's poorly written and lacks any particular merit. As for the album, I must say that over the years it has gained some points, except for "You not Me" and "Just Let Me Breathe," which still don't hold up.
