Certainly what you say is right XBend... anyway I believe it was just for the sake of discussion, it's clear that the judgment of an album is always more or less subjective... it didn't seem to me that a debate had been created, just an exchange of ideas I think born from curiosity, nothing more. As for the reviews, even though I understand you want to practice first, I don't recommend getting overly caught up in reviews that have already been written... try to dare more, a review that's never been written is still greatly appreciated, even if it’s not written in an absolutely flawless way (also because everyone has their own style). Bye bye.

I thought I was the only one, but like Hetzer, I also prefer Nursery Cryme as a work of the early Genesis, if understood as a record in its entirety.

In complete agreement with TheJargonKing in every way :)

Thank you jazzprog! @Starblazer: Yes, exactly, in fact the band chose to adopt this name, on the advice of Clive Merredew, a photographer friend who owned the book "The Epic of Gilgamesh"; he was probably deeply fascinated by this legend.

The important thing is to believe in it..... ;) Hehehe.. Thanks everyone for the comments! Bye!

Oops... I read it wrong... So maybe it's really just me who prefers this... Anyway, I can't compare the two albums because the times I've listened to "Of Queues.." (a few dozen), are not even remotely comparable to the hundreds of listens I've given to "National Health"..... Fusillo in his review says this work is "too bucolic for his ears," so I, flipping the situation, will say that the second album is "too LITTLE bucolic for my ears"...

Thank you all for the comments! I also prefer this debut to the subsequent "Of Queues and Cures" (as if it wasn't already clear..), even though the latter is considered by many to be the group's masterpiece.

Maybe it’s because I’m madly in love with this album...but using even a single word less wasn't an option...not in this case ;). Anyway, this album, especially thanks to the vocal contribution of Amanda Parsons, is much more...how can I put it...digestible and less scattered compared to Alan Gowen’s works with the Gilgamesh...at least in my opinion, of course..

I apologize in advance for the length of this writing, but I thought it appropriate to present the story of the band for anyone who might be interested, since it is quite convoluted and not easy to find clear information about it... Hopefully, I haven't been excessively dull...

A review that leaves nothing to chance... The album, in my opinion, is stunning and perhaps it could have deserved 5 stars... First Light is a musical peak (I'm listening to it right now...).. Another fantastic feat from Camel, who, as you rightly said at the end of the review, will be eternally thanked by many for what they have done.
