7/10: I agree with the observations about the album's inconsistent results. The technique is impressive, but the truly concrete sections are lacking, and to further emphasize the reviewer's thesis, I would say that in an hour and fifteen minutes of music, the moments that can truly "warm the heart" can be counted on one hand, with the exception of "Into the Night," which is at least a notch above everything else.

A succinct and direct proposal as usual, structured around a fantastic crossroads of top-tier names in the most ruthless and adventurous progressive scene, which should never be forgotten by hopeless romantics who still strive to protect their vision of prog from the threatening shadow of the avant-gardes. Excellent album; stunning "Overmurmur."

Thank you Fedezan, DLF & ProgRock. Indeed, this album requires special attention to be fully absorbed and, even then, it tends to reveal its weaknesses when subjected to repeated listens. However, this does not diminish the value of this interesting sound experiment, which bodes well for the potential future of the band.

You are right, ProgRock. I would say the Sinkadus are closer to the instrumental debut of '77 than to the lively "Dice" of the following year. Not by chance, albums such as "The Four Riders of the Apocalypse" or, to step outside of Europe, "Stained Glass Stories" by Cathedral, are part of the short repertoire of those eclectic-symphonic bands from the late '70s that exaggerated the lessons from Chris Squire and from which Änglagård themselves drew heavily to revive progressive rock in 1992.

But imagine, Peccio, I appreciate and, in a sense, share your point of view. I realize that I possess a style that can be at times excessively elaborate and seemingly lacking spontaneity, but my readings (philosophical in nature, although primarily limited to the ancient world) lead me to adopt, consciously or unconsciously, a solemn tone that I can't seem to shake off even in comments. As for eating, I must admit that I have never been a good eater, so if I were to write as I typically nourish myself, I would probably end up sending two-line reviews composed entirely of monosyllables and ellipses.

The review, while largely agreeable, would require significant formal revisions, especially in punctuation. The value of the work is undeniable.

Thank you, Fedezan. Landberk will be the seventh, controversial stop on this journey to discover the recent progressive North.

Thank you, my dear Bartle, as kind as always (but without being repetitive, of course!). DreamWarrior, I agree with you: the Sinkadus, despite a complex and ambitious form, leave much to be desired in terms of substance, and the length of "Aurum Nostrum" only accentuates this deficiency. "Cirkus", hovering around 47 minutes in duration, tries to avoid the prolixity of its bigger brother, but that is not enough to guarantee it greater relevance on the Scandinavian scene, where both albums are indeed mercilessly overshadowed by the formidable Änglagård.

Thank you very much, Jargon. I'm glad to see that we share the same view. I also thank the magical editing elves for adding a couple of clarifying links (among which the famous "UH!" could not be missing). If the number of comments on the page were proportional to the fame of the band in question, I foresee an exciting journey into the realm of negative numbers for the next review, with a total of comments that could range between -2 and -8.
