After reading this review, I dove back into listening to this Psychedelic Man, and thinking it over, especially considering the release date, I really feel like being generous. In some cases, complete objectivity can be gladly overlooked :)

I had half a mind to review III by Kenso... For now I'll leave it be then... I don't think there's an album of theirs that I don't like...

Found it! I would like to share my thoughts, but your description of the album has already said it all, and I completely agree with your views. The first thing that always strikes me about this album is the warmth that envelops you as soon as you start listening to it, which amplifies in reflective and calm yet still captivating pieces like "Africa 3/2" or "Country." An album worth listening to even for those who are not fans of world music, as the ethnic influences are certainly present, but they are so well blended with jazz that it results in an absolutely enjoyable work. Recommended especially for gentle and dreamy souls...
