Yes, maybe a 5 is a bit daring (at least in my opinion) and I feel quite in tune with Jake's thoughts, but the review is smooth and comprehensive.

We are not on my territories, but I appreciate the writing (and its historical references, which are fundamental to me) from which a certain enthusiasm also emerges.

Thinking that Christian and Joachim founded the Beatkids in '63 and played for quite some time as a cover band of the Beatles & Rolling Stones, I would say they have really come a long way, musically speaking. As far as I know, their first record from '72, Hölderlin's Traum, besides being an excellent album of course, was meant to further emphasize the parallel between the romantic proposal of the band and the work of the German poet Friedrich Hölderlin (in fact, I believe that at first the band was named Hölderlin and then changed their name to Hoelderlin). At least up to Rare Birds, I would feel comfortable recommending their entire discography (not that it’s vast anyway...) @Jargon, have you listened to their latest album "8"? It came out last year... Initially, I was skeptical since only the drummer Michael Bruchmann remains as a core member of the group... but I must say that the release has maintained a certain "shine," and regarding the style, it might occasionally come off as a bit too soft, but it’s certainly enjoyable and quite personal... (Ole would have some long restorative sleeps with such listening :p)

Ardalo, how about diving right in with some nice little reviews? I have Ocean on my list, but not among the upcoming ones, so if you want to take a seat... It's been a while since we've seen you around. ;)

No, in fact, the comparison with Blood Sweat and Tears is quite fitting. In my opinion, Geff's singing in 2066 is worth considering, indeed... the problem might lie in the audio quality and in certain passages, let’s face it, not exactly successful, but overall, my judgment is positive.

Well... what can I say... an interesting proposal for sure. The illustration on the cover is done in a style I love... Great job reviewing it (is that how you say it? never mind..)!

Bartle, I would say that I agree with your point of view, but could you clarify what you mean by "sbrodolature pazzesche"? I don't think I understood what you meant...

Hahaha! If you want to write it since you're listening to it right now, I don't mind at all.. Elio, you’re really eager to see Point of Eruption reviewed, huh? @Festwca: Lucifer's Friend are mooooolto lighter than Night Sun (for example). Probably "Where Groupies Killed the Blues" deserves more than the debut, but if you’re into “deeply ignorant” sounds, then I don’t think that would mean anything to you either. The initial hard rock, by the way, is soon replaced (around 1974) by a sort of jazz-rock that also has some prog characteristics (see Banquet), but we’re still in easy listening territory, which will then indeed lead to the almost-AOR of the eighties... I’d save some of the early stuff, but it's clear... it’s all a matter of taste.

I appreciate Lucifer's Friend's seventies period... The albums released in the '80s have never really inspired me much... (but this is a common thing for many bands that started in the '70s)
