I also find it hard to consider this a prog album; I wouldn't even know how to evaluate it. However, I must say that I really like the cover.

I'll reply to you, but privately ;)

Well written, the album doesn't reflect my genre so I don't have much to say about it. Pensieratezza is a carefree state without 's' or a term I don't know???

Thank you, Green! Personally, I've never read anything like this, but it's immediately clear that the Dark have nothing at all to do with Canterbury. Years ago, out of curiosity, I bought the little musical atlas by Giunti written by Cesare Rizzi (the one with the giant gentle face on the cover). I don’t know if it’s the same one you mean, but I really don’t think so, because in mine, the paragraph on the Dark doesn’t allude to anything like that. It literally says: "melodic progressive with some guitar outbursts." Now that I think about it (I never consider this book. After the first time I read it, I put it back on the shelf, and there it remained until now that I picked it up for five minutes), the bassist Ron Johnson isn’t even mentioned in the list of band members... By the way, in the bonus tracks of the CD version, the bass is played by someone named Carl Bush, so it would have been one thing to confuse one bassist for another, but to completely forget the existence of such a figure in the band... I really don’t like guides at all :p

Your final speech made me realize that you're using the same yardstick I used until recently, but that I've now abandoned in favor of a more moderate one. I reflected long on what rating to give this work, and I believe that 4 stars are well deserved, indicating that while I may not consider it a masterpiece, it is certainly an excellent album. Personally, I prefer "In Extremis." If "In This Life" is the only one you own, I recommend at least listening to the subsequent ones: "In Extremis" (indeed) and "A History of Madness." Bye

And here it is. An essential album.

Oh yes..many phrases, if not entire sentences, lead to dead ends that interrupt the flow of reading or the logical sense of the thought you wanted to convey. Nice though, the image of the packaging in three-dimensional effect.. :D

Hahaha! Nice introduction! :p

Thanks again! Hahaha Ole, I never told you I'm a wizard? I'm doing my apprenticeship at Camelot, with a nice old man... ;))))))

Whatever "thing" inspires you :p By the way, if we really had to examine the so-called "dark" side of folk-prog, there would definitely be plenty of room because there are so many groups missing. The thing that personally holds me back is that, despite being considered prog, many bands in this genre only display vague contaminations, so before I go through them, I need to get into folk mode :D
