Sepultura Amen Live. Hollywood Rock. Brazil '94. Chaos AD Tour
Voto:
I saw them in concert too during the Chaos A.D. tour. An infernal, truly post-industrial carnival. Opening for them were the impeccable Paradise Lost, all energized by that great record that was Icon. The trilogy Arise-Chaos A.D.-Roots is clearly their best work, in my opinion.
Genesis ...Calling All Stations...
Voto:
These are not Genesis. This is rotting garbage. I won't even bother explaining why, as I would be redundant and obvious.
Franco Donatoni Portrait
Voto:
Donatoni on Debaser! I applaud the courage and dedication! Well done.
The Smashing Pumpkins Siamese Dream

Freak out... give in...
So many memories, those nineties... between high school and various ups and downs!
Beyond Dawn Pity Love
Voto:
Exquisitely dark, both in stylistic and chromatic terms. However, I must admit that I need to listen to it a bit more before I can make a proper judgment... in the meantime, a 4 is completely justified! Nice review, regardless.
Ozric Tentacles Pungent Effulgent
Voto:
Become the Other is perhaps one of their more accessible albums for those who want to approach this cosmic ensemble... and among their lesser-mentioned works, I find Arborescence particularly deserving. As for their "beautifully horrendous" covers (which I quite like, anyway), they drastically changed style with that of the recent Paper Monkeys... it's hard to associate it with an Ozric Tentacles album!
Pan.Thy.Monium Dawn of Dreams
Voto:
I have it, although I prefer their next album, Khaooos. The production (and consequently the budget) seems a bit lacking to me, but this little crazy band has done some interesting things! Good job on the retrieval and the review.
The Gathering If Then Else
Voto:
Ah, the Gatherings! Excellent Mandylion, very good Night Time Birds, outstanding How to Measure a Planet. I haven’t listened to the previous and subsequent albums, but in any case, they have carried on an evolutionary musical discourse -with a clear turning point- somewhat similar to that of Celestial Season; unlike them, they steered more towards psychedelic trip-rock rather than clashing hybrids (which are still appreciable)... anyway, maximum respect for Anneke and her brave companions!
Giacinto Scelsi Quattro pezzi per orchestra / Anahit / Uaxuctum
Voto:
I chose, mondieu! A round of applause just for having proposed it to the debaser audience. There is so much to say about Scelsi that paradoxically I prefer to say nothing at all. Congratulations, anyway.
Cathedral The Guessing Game
Voto:
Mh, I bought it today for €11.99, this double album by the dear Cattedratici d'Albione. We'll see about delving into it properly in the days to come. Contrary to what one might think, I've always found the aforementioned Cathedral to be very "colorful"... so I'll have to get my hands nice and deep into this plump, multicolored cauldron. Regards.
