Green Day Demolicious

By now, I would say it's quite unthinkable (A record with raw versions of oddiochestress..), a bit like the Red Hot. "American Idiot" however remains a great album, the only one that I really like from this band.

I met him thanks to the friend up there. When I listened to "Vivadixiesubmarinetrasmissionplot" (which remains his masterpiece, in my opinion), I didn't know he had committed suicide, but I could feel in the music and in his voice a sadness so deep and palpable that it couldn't help but strike me to the heart. Some tracks from that album are devastating.

Hello Enbar! Beautiful as always, both in proposal and in reception.
Woody Allen Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex* (*But Were Afraid to Ask)

Nice review, I love Allen but I'm missing this and it must be really beautiful.
Garbage Strange Little Birds

Never followed them, I remember a piece that was going around when I was still in high school, then completely lost sight of them. I knew them as "the band where the guy who produced Nevermind is" :D Really great review.

Anyway, speaking of the topic, this came to my mind

I don't know if it was a joke, a provocation, or what else; certainly, at least for me, it wasn't music nor, even less, art (I honestly couldn't even make it to the first half). I don't think it unintentionally opened new paths either (I mean, with The Velvet Underground, those new paths were certainly already opened, not with this record), because otherwise, following this reasoning, as I've written in the past, even a (double) vinyl of total silence with random noises popping up here and there could do it. As far as I'm concerned, it's being talked about way too much.
Aldo, Giovanni & Giacomo, Massimo Venier Il ricco, il povero e il maggiordomo

Terrible, I completely agree. I liked all of them up until Tu la conosci Claudia (the latter and La leggenda di Al John e Jack are often underrated, when in fact they have nothing to envy the first three in my opinion), but il cosmo sul comò and this one are indefensible.
Laura Morante Assolo
Voto:
Hi Geo, great, I didn't know about Morante's movie (to be honest, I didn't even know she was a director), but it sounds really interesting. Given the shitty extended family you've described, the film could have been titled "AssHole(s)" :)

I've never followed them with the same consistency as the other group that, in my opinion, best represents the Italian alternative scene (Verdena), but the masterpiece "Hai paura del buio?" stands as a testament to their significance. I also have "Quello che non c'è" and "Padania," which are quite good. This new double album intrigues me. Great review, Grant.
