Here, I’ve never really liked them, there isn't a single thing I enjoy. It’s like saying they’re a concentration of many things I detest in rock.

You've already made some beautiful reflections; I've had more or less the same ones as @[Raskolnikov1789]. In particular, I also didn't see any justification or absolution, but rather an attempt to understand perverse social dynamics. For me, it's more of a sociological than a psychological film. A guy literally and psychologically devastated by life and society, who will find himself being an acclaimed leader of a society that is quite a bit more devastated than he is (which, in fact, gave birth to him).

I imagine it’s a film that will divide many; I’ve read some enthusiastic reviews anyway. And I think it’s already clear from the trailer that Phoenix’s performance is something immense. Great review in any case.

No, wait, even though I love Husker Du, and even though I also consider them extremely influential for all of alternative music, you can't tell me that Dinosaur Jr, Pixies, Nirvana, and Green Day are just their well-made clones. That's something you can't write, you know? And it’s not like I’m crazy about all these bands (I do love Pixies and Nirvana, but not Dinosaur Jr and Green Day), but it's just wrong to say that.

A bit of supercazzola but deep down serious and even fun: a bit like the album in question? Which, by the way, is my favorite of theirs along with IV obviously, which is really my absolute favorite.

The review might be "too much," but you'll get a 5. The film is probably my favorite by Tarantino and one of my favorite films overall, so I understand you well.

Beautiful. It reminds me of the approach I used for some of my old reviews (without obviously reaching these levels). I'm currently trying to change my approach, aiming to be less succinct and letting myself dive more into storytelling (see Beatles reviews), but it's definitely an approach that resonates with me. Well done. The album is still a (big) gap for me; a review like this could be the right motivation to finally fill it.

@[G] I don't know why I'm seeing a second copy of the review without the cover on the home page. Did I do something wrong? Is it possible to remove it? Thanks!

I listened to Abyss; everyone spoke very highly of it, but right from the start, I had the feeling it wasn't for me.

If you tell me it's so beautiful, I'll throw on a listen on the tube. I listened to Who Built the Moon by the other Gallagher, but I set it aside right away. I thought Beady Eye was something unthinkable (at least what I happened to hear).
