Primitive emotional gems.

There are bands influenced by Husker Du. Some have given more, turning towards unexplored directions (Rites Of Spring, Squirrel Bait, Dinosaur Jr., Pixies), some haven't managed to completely detach from the Minneapolis sound (Moving Targets), and some have become leaders of the '90s movements (Nirvana, Green Day).

The 'The Hated' can be placed in both the first and second categories, an emotional post-hardcore with jangle and college rock influences; the sincerest root of Midwest emo. Comparable, albeit in a limited way, to Moss Icon in the clean moments, even if there's an itch: a REM-spark from the most famous band of Athens (Pride And Confusion, Return), while Knockin' On Your Door and Promises seem written by Grant Hart.

On Someone and especially These Are The Days, Simpson of Mineral and Enigk of Sunny Day.. have shed a million tears.
The best piece is certainly the introduction to Anonymous Descriptions Of Uncontrollable Urges, an instrumental in constant change, a Sunday morning, a new day begins.
