Speaking of Gino Paoli, he made an album ("Ha tutte le carte in regola") in which he reinterprets various songs by Piero Ciampi, including sporca estate, il vino, il merlo, ma che buffa che sei, and others. When I bought it, several years ago, I thought they were his songs, but then listening to them I realized they were too different from his style.

By logic, the next ones to be reviewed should be dos, tres, quatros by Green Day, I'm so scared.

I don't know him, but the review is tempting. I completely agree that it's the way an often overused topic like zombies and similar themes is handled that makes the difference. You don't even have to look far for a famous example: Dylan Dog. Its greatness lay precisely in addressing many themes in a completely new way and in the strength and extreme humanity of the characters, allowing readers to identify with them. As for the perception of comics in Italy, I believe the situation has changed, at least a little. There seems to be, in general, a greater cultural appreciation.

As far as I'm concerned, the best Hendrix live performance remains Woodstock from every angle. I remember when I first listened to it, I was a bit disappointed: mind you, we're talking about a stunning live show here, but all the surrounding legend created enormous expectations for me. I listened to it—it was beautiful, undeniably so (and of course it would be)—but then I quickly ran back to Woodstock (and to Machine Gun by Band of Gypsys, which I consider one of the best live tracks by Hendrix). In the end, I hardly ever listen to this one. In the history of rock, this live performance, in the history of rock, this live performance, is more about the orgiastic ritual with the guitar than anything else, in my opinion.

Something escapes me here: Darius is the author of the review, and a year later Darius comments on the same review writing "one of his best works."

But shall we talk about the cover? :D

splendid cover, really, obviously Barrett with Pink Floyd and without I know it by heart, Donovan instead practically nothing, 60s psychedelia I'm very into (besides obviously Pink Floyd and The Beatles) Pretty Things (those of "SF Sorrow"), Love, Byrds, Jefferson Airplane, anyway it seems interesting, it's a shame that, from what you write, he has reworked very little, the cover, I repeat, is really splendid
