Unfortunately, yes, he hasn't got it right for too long now; the last one I saw in the cinema was the card player, which was almost unwatchable.

probably his best solo album, fresh and similar in songwriting and sound to the best (for me) Porcupine Tree (those of In Absentia, Lightbulb Sun, Stupid Dream). The review is terrible, sorry, a boring track by track done after a first listen O_O, but not because the album is hard to digest, quite the opposite, it hits you on the first listen and that's a plus, more than anything because writing such a review after just one listen is completely pointless.

Yes, nice proposal, but the description of each track (the infamous "track by track") unnecessarily weighs it down.

I've often written about Verdena here; for me, they are one of the greatest Italian bands and the best currently around. Their latest album didn't grab me like the previous ones, but for reasons that go beyond the quality, which remains extremely high. I won't see them this time, but I've already seen them a couple of times and I really enjoyed it.

Thank you guys, I'll start with liquid then, since you both call it a masterpiece and even zitold considers it one of the best of the last 15 years (!)

I don't know if I'm the strange one (probably), but I didn't need all this patience and dedication for this album: tracks like Lunacy, Avatar, Song for the Warrior immediately captivated me. I might have needed 2-3 listens to fully grasp the longer pieces, like the title track, for example, or A Piece of the Sky, but in general, I think this album strikes hard right from the start, unlike some of their other albums like Children of God or Soundtracks for the Blind.
