Manowar Gods Of War

No really, I went through the trouble of writing a poem to get an average of 1.82!?!?!!? This album is amazing, I don't understand how you can label it as garbage and say that Manowar never changes! Each of their albums has something different from the previous one, and this time they truly outdid themselves, GODS OF WAR RATING 10/10.

Dear Juggler, there’s pop and there’s pop: one thing is that of Queen, Elton John, Black Sabbath from the late '70s and Dream Theater with Hollow Years, Forsaken, etc. (let's also throw in Shakira and Hole) and a completely different story is this commercial crap that has sprung up like weeds in an uncultivated field after the implosion of the grunge phenomenon. I'm referring to the pseudo-punk of bling 182 and Green Day, the whore-bitch-pop-dance of Britney, Christina, Spice..., horrible boy bands (Backstreet, NSYNC, Westlife, Take That), pseudo-alternative artists churning out terrible lullabies without head or tail (Radiohead, Björk), tedious Britpop (Oasis, Blur..) up to disgusting pseudo-metal (Manson, Korn, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park) to the tacky and bestselling hip hop (Eminem, 50 Cent...) Moral of the story, the more shit music you make, the more success you have :-(

Oh my goodness, that cover gives off a sense of anguish and sadness that would make any depressive black metal band envious, and I can only imagine that the music is no different...

At 13-14 years old, to avoid falling into the crap, I listened to Queen (and only their stuff from the 70s).

Didn’t it seem so good, just as everything was as it should be, what was a time, somewhere, some place we had to be, Mom says you can't go back, you can't turn back the clock, isn't it good to be in love, this room and just the two of us, one night, the full moon woke us up, the moon and just the two of us, we took the moment by the horns, and the hours seem to get lost. Confused by it all, I sit and wonder, sit and wonder, bemused and enthralled, WHY ARE WE APART LISTENING TO THIS SHIT!?!?!?!?!^?!?!!?

@ Bartleboom: the instrument in question is the Mellotron, and "Changes" isn't bad in itself, if it weren't for the fact that Ozzy moans like a beaten dog instead of singing. I had forgotten to mention the mediocrity of the strumming in "Laguna Sunrise." "Snowblind" is neither praised nor blamed.
