Really? I don't know if I have it, maybe it's hiding in some corner of the HD, I just have a few memories of Have A Cigar but if I find it I'll gladly give it another listen, they're still cool anyway.

Did you think that the Grasshopper review wasn't detailed enough? :)

cute these, I just have the very first works, and a live album that I listened to often and gladly a few years ago, I liked to keep them as a musical backdrop as well.
Jacco Gardner Cabinet Of Curiosities

The album is enjoyable and evocative. The cover is wonderful. The point, however, is that this guy, Gardner, dresses like Syd, takes photos like Syd, makes music videos like Syd, sings like Syd, makes the same expressions as Syd; it all feels a bit forced or, in any case, exaggerated. The only thing he forgot to replicate are the brilliant and striking ideas that Syd had, and those can’t be copied. Nevertheless, the album is a good album, I like it, it sounds nice, light, colorful, and with a nursery rhyme vibe, sprinkled with a touch of rainbow-colored psychedelia. Let's say that if his intent was to pay tribute to Syd, he succeeded; if he aspires to something more, he might need to make some significant turns towards a more personal style. A nice surprise, anyway ^^
Lars von Trier Melancholia

Great review :) I saw it last night and liked it a lot. The movie is long and slow, but it doesn't bore me, at least not me. I was torn between a 4 and a 5; let's say I'm a bit more inclined towards a 4 for now. One of the questions that popped into my mind while watching was: "But do you turn on the TV or not!?" but it's obvious that it’s a choice by Von Trier to leave out the usual clichés of apocalyptic films, and the alarmism on TV is certainly part of that. The director, anyway, managed to make me hate Justine, holy mother, what a whore. (And what a hottie.)

I was there; let's say my golden years with Maiden and the like are long gone. When I found out that Maiden were chosen as headliners, I didn't really think much of it, but my partner surprised me with a ticket for the Pit under the Christmas tree, and in the end, I had quite a lot of fun :) It was strange when Mastodon played; I expected the roar and people going wild, but instead, I had to see that great mass of metalheads with their heads hanging down, bored, wondering how much longer until Megadeth arrived. The audio setup for Mastodon didn't help; it wasn't great. If you didn't know the songs, it could be hard to follow them, and everyone there was very familiar with Megadeth and Maiden, they couldn't care less about Mastodon. The fact is, when they played "Blood And Thunder," I got completely soaked. As for the rest, I regretted missing Amphitrium; we got confused with the schedules. Zico Chain did well, and I really liked Voodoo Six; they were powerful and rocking live, while on record they're a bit lackluster. I felt good about Ghost before and during the event, but they just don't grab me. There’s just something nice here and there, but once you get past the clothing and stage presence, not much remains. Maiden, well… unstoppable. Bruce is a beast, such energy!

I’m listening to it occasionally these days, but never seriously for now; I don’t know, I won’t pass any judgment for the moment. Let’s just say I was expecting something different; instead, there are a lot of ā€œtun cha tun cha tun cha tu tun cha.ā€ Uff, a review I saw online said this is the absolute best QOTSA album, talking about a return to their old sounds; meh. Anyway, when I have a solid opinion about the album, I’ll check back in. Just one question: what the hell are Elton John and the singer from Scissor Sisters doing on this album?
