Hey Hey Hey, you started on a high note. Besides the fact that I never really use this metric for judgment and I agree with you that it's not the most accurate, I must admit that in this case, with this group, it felt like the most effective approach. A work of this kind, even if it has few contents, gains a passing mark due to its extreme technicality in my case; it will always be an album that I will listen to and appreciate from a strictly technical standpoint. It's logical that an album with substantial content, even if executed with merely adequate technique, deserves the highest ratings; otherwise, Pink Floyd wouldn’t be my favorite band. That said, I want to affirm that any work, to be completed, requires two fundamental things: ideas and the technique to execute them. The first is (much) more important than the second, but if either one is missing, the whole concept cannot be realized. P.S. even the covers have their say. Just think if the cover of "In The Land Of Grey And Pink" had featured an aerial photo of New York with all those beautiful skyscrapers standing out! :)

Radiohead In Rainbows

In my opinion, "Kid A" was the creative peak, but "Amnesiac" is another great album. Amnesiac features one of Radiohead's most beautiful songs, "Like spinning plates."

Surely Hendrix has done better (e.g. Live at Winterland) and I agree that it's not recorded impeccably, but it remains a historic live performance that symbolizes an era. "If it hadn't been Hendrix," well, it would still be worth 5 stars!! I could listen to it endlessly!!!
