Depeche Mode Songs Of Faith And Devotion Live
Voto:
Even if Pozzo is not entirely wrong in saying that a "complete" live performance would have been preferred over just the album setlist.

Last sentence a bit reckless, but overall an excellent review. On the live show, the only adjective that comes to mind is "DAMN!"

@geezer, in judging a review, there are many things to consider... how it is written, how it articulates opinions on the work, and also the opinions themselves; it's part of the game.
The Doors Live @ Amsterdam - September 15, 1968
Voto:
Good review, but I don't believe that the talent of Ray, Robby, and John was ever overshadowed by the spotlight on Jim Morrison. Perhaps their image was to the general public, perhaps there wasn't the same libido anxiety emanating from Jimbo, but anyone who listens to a live performance of the Doors with even a minimal sense of objectivity cannot, while listening to, for example, "Light My Fire" or "Break on Through...", deny that Jim Morrison without the other three wouldn't have gone anywhere, and vice versa, as has been proven.
Depeche Mode Exciter
Voto:
Very good, excellent review. Exciter is looked down upon by many dM fans, but as you said, it’s an album that needs to be taken for what it is, in a gentle and carefree way, without expecting more torment after SOFAD and Ultra. In short, one doesn't always have to be angry; what matters is the quality of the music, and in this sense, Exciter is a very good album. And definitely better than that piece of junk Sounds of the Universe, which I hope to be able to reassess one day.

U2 U2 360° at the Rose Bowl
Voto:
Well done, very well done. A review that resonates with me on every single word. This is the only U2 DVD I haven't picked up because it really falls below the threshold of decency (even more so than those from Milan and Chicago), so I think it will remain unique in this sense, as far as I'm concerned. SHAME.
