As for the plagiarisms found in the piece: certainly "John & Mary" by Robert Palmer in the mood of the rhythm section, but beware: the bassline mirrors "Space Oddity" by Bowie.

I am glad about the debate sparked by the review: I too have southern origins on my father's side (who left with the classic suitcase) and I fully understand, having experienced it in relation to other relatives, the ambivalence of relationships between emigrants or so-called emancipated individuals and their origins: the pain of separation and not belonging that blends with the nostalgia for home, and, at the same time, the difficulties of readapting to certain traditions, which, however, are part of us. I don’t think this phenomenon is solely southern; the northern regions essentially produced misery and emigration until the early '60s... and it’s striking how the newly wealthy look upon their tradition with detachment, reinventing it in accordance with the Lega myths, almost in an attempt to expel the misery, including cultural, from which they come.

Valerio, I am from the north, but I have southern origins.

Oh Rivoli... mamadodori may be ugly, but she's not the one we’re talking about here. Come on.

Muffin, I accept the challenge and next week I will proceed with Bergman: I have some reservations only because reviewing it would betray my mission, as the Bocconi students say, but for you, anything goes. Rivoli: I don’t understand you; I used to really appreciate your reviews, especially for the irony, but here you’ve become quite the moral scold. What a shame.

Dear Poletti, the phrase "inheriting the disenchanted gaze of a certain neorealism," written with the necessary precautions while drawing a parallel, does not mean "Verdone is a neorealist." Come on. Velluto proves to be a good and prolific reviewer.

Well Venusian, you’re certainly not the only one: think also of Serena in the legendary "The Lady of the Night," which I might review in the near future. Any anecdotes about her?!?!? Thanks to the others for their appreciation.

Black, I'll give it a try, even though in my opinion the Pooh are on another level, exceptional musicians in their own right. I'll dig through their discography looking for some "nuggets"!

I read online that Christian's son is expecting a baby with his partner and future wife. So Christian and Dora Moroni will become grandparents. Moreover, it seems that the relationship between the two has now been mended under the banner of a certain civility, putting to rest the old controversies regarding our habits and his relationship with both sexes. Hooray!
