Kemo, Charlie was singing "Faccia da pirla," and the one writing this post is the one who will resurrect the corpse of this person. Give me time and patience. Yours sincerely, Il_Paolo

@Lavalin, the optimism, more than mine, is Casadei's. Your interpretation - but I'm no longer surprised - is very sharp and quite similar to what is hinted at in certain reviews of mine! I don't know Mietta's song, but I will remedy that; you should try listening to "E la chiamano estate" and "Una favola d'estate" - both by Califano - which I find exceptional in describing a spleen that Ruggeri/Bertè managed to match and the Righeira relaunched in the false guise of a jukebox 45 rpm. @Michos: even if I were a fake, I would still be flesh and blood. So, in the unlikely yet not impossible scenario that we might meet... you could even "hug me" (maybe two reviewers for the price of one, but who knows).

In the meantime, congratulations on digging up a "minor" group that I myself had forgotten, and that you reminded me of from the depths of memory along with the bald singer of the namesake of the drummer of Pooh. That said, I didn’t like them at all. But back then, the thought of being Il_Paolo was far from me.

Dear all, reading your comments on my review, as well as other posts in response to others, I feel compelled to step back for a moment from the role of a reviewer of lesser films and focus on what I do – or attempt to do, rather – in my daily life: I share your political concerns at their core, with the deep conviction that this electoral result represents an aesthetic, moral, and ethical setback for those who believe in certain values. However, I would like to reassure you with a few observations: over the last few decades, parties, movements, and the electoral circuit have come to matter much less; decision-making power is now allocated elsewhere: in the administration (the one that drives Banana Joe crazy), both national and, especially and increasingly, community and international. To put it simply, our daily lives are affected by certain figures more as an aesthetic disturbance (and certainly from Lavalin onward follows another aesthetic, that of art), but the decisions that actually influence our destinies are made, often relatively independently of the choices of this or that party, by the WTO, FSF, EU, and whoever else may be involved. These are now the decision-making centers of power, not Parliament or the Presidency of the Council. Therefore, the electoral result certainly matters, but it doesn’t change your life; it can, however, put you in a bad mood. A mood that you can easily balance in a thousand ways, not least through watching “minor” cinema or listening to “minor” music, which your ever devoted Il_Paolo is committed to reviewing for you in the coming years.

I often thought that you and I could create the "banana left (Joe)", as an alternative to the "caviar left."

Dear Poletti, I completely agree with Opel. In any case, the victory of the center-right shouldn't surprise you: allow me to refer you to the reviews of "College" and "I'll Marry Simon LeBon," to understand how cinema - which you renounce (for Muito and Lavalin: another traitor!) - has inspired, anticipated, shaped today's Italy. You may think differently, and oppose with a certain stoicism the drift of your beloved country: but I believe it does little good to complain in this way. I wonder, for example, why the center-left doesn't reformulate its thinking, “ar popolo,” based on a less cryptic language, abandoning its sense of superiority: the idea would be to establish a language of its own starting from examples like "Banana Joe," a worthy ideal alternative to the "Yuppies" model or "Attila, the Scourge of God," which seems to be quite popular on the other side. I conclude by dedicating to you the verses of a piece by the Ramones/Motorhead that I love very much and which constitutes - I hope - the best epitaph to the unpleasant things you have been writing on this site for a few days: Bad boys then, bad boys now Good buddies, mau, mau, mau Keep it up, rock'n'roll, good music save your soul. Best regards, Yours, Il_Paolo
