Dear Contemplazione, just last night I updated my personal profile on Debaser, to which I can only direct you, considering it comprehensive of your request. Please read it carefully. Sincerely yours, Il_Paolo.

@Thank you Shootin'... but what dialect is that?!? (Lombard?!?). Muito: with all the respect I have for you, I doubt you got it right. The era, however, holds some exceptional pastures, on which I could build a [new] career. Who do you have in mind? (give me a hint even in code, so we don’t burn the material).

Poletti, I have so much to say and tell you about the University... and of course about the students as well. I've always experienced it as a "mission" (not "mission"!), in my opinion, there is nothing more beautiful or fulfilling in life than helping a young person to grow culturally, to think for themselves, and not to waste their talent, or even to give up on searching for it. The rest is just bar talk, like your generalizations.

Nice book, Muito! I read it in three days, with a delirious picture of the real States! You always remain my alter ego, what am I saying, my Doppelganger.

@Poletti, I haven't been to the States, but I'm happy to send you there [just kidding]. Anyway, I'm not pro-American. To tell you the truth: I would love to live in Argentina. @Tobby: here you open a significant issue regarding my "mission." I see too many cultural resistances in recognizing the worth of the Vanzina's cinema, which, by the way, with "Un ciclone in famiglia" are writing memorable pages of TV. I love Carlo Buccirosso!

Nice choice, I don't know them.

The review is very nice, congratulations. Of the Mats, I have "Tim," which seems to me a bit like the rough version of early '80s AOR. Therefore, I still don't consider them essential (to be honest, I don't even love the Huskers; definitely better from that era are Flipper, Meat Puppets, and Mission of Burma, but that's just a matter of taste).

Poletti, you compel me to intervene on May 1st, while I’m working to make up for lost time during the workdays. So – but this goes for everyone – I do NOT reevaluate the Vanzina films; I’m performing a service for the reader: for example, does Tizio want to know something about this film? Here it is, without stating that it’s a masterpiece and without glorifying the trash. This, in essence, is the predominant part of my "mission" (if someone - thanks to LaRock, Muitosaudosismo, Rivoli, etc. - wants to add some intelligent notes, all the better for the debate). As for the States: Poletti implies they are better than Settebagni, Rivoli hits the mark and says – quoting an unaware Toto Cutugno, "there are those who go to seek fortune in America, and realize that America is right here. But the Italian Sunday..." – that Settebagni is better than many American locations. Sure, Poletti, the Grand Canyon, the Statue of Liberty, Niagara Falls, Yosemite, Frisco may be better than Settebagni, but do you really believe that the thousands of Springfields from your beloved Simpsons are less noisy, dreary, etc. than the remote Roman suburb? I would have my doubts. Cordially yours, Il_Paolo (and don’t touch Jerry).

@Lavalin: the sense of alienation and disorientation that you describe so well (as a complementary addition to my review) is something I know all too well for a myriad of reasons that I won’t explain in detail but that you have clearly grasped. For years, I envied those who had roots, but of course, it was impossible for me to create them; then I realized that this lack of references can be an opportunity and, in the end, even a freedom. Which, in these times, is no small thing - even though it sometimes brings a breeze of sadness.

@LaRock...of course, I was just joking. Don't hold it against me, I take your word for it! Don't deny Mirko and his group.
