Electarism, simple insolence or pure misanthropy? - Genius.

I will try calmly to listen to the band, maybe tomorrow (next to Azzurro by Celentano, HD is an ideal group for a Sunday afternoon of tendency to boredom!). What is Zen Arcade for you is Daydream Nation by Sonic Youth for me.

Well.. Purpulan, you are also right, and you cite appropriate examples, especially the Minutemen.

Contemplation, I do not turn to any audience. Too cultured and sensitive to be turned around. And then to turn people on DeB... as if it were Videodrome. Contemplatively Yours, Il_Paolo

@Muito, I know well the source from which you draw the anecdote. But what drove me crazy about that book is the story of one of the Flippers who, high on heroin, disassembles and reassembles a car engine in one night. What stories. Not to mention the description of New Mexico, where nothing happens, except for the landing of aliens! ---- @Supersoul: I don't think I said something foolish by stating that the HDs denote a certain rhythmic flatness: the tempos of the songs are almost all the same. Compare it with Fugazi.

Contemplation, I am the first not to consider myself - on this site, neither a genius nor a true "expert" in cinema and music (also because I have neither acting/musical talent, nor a background that would elevate me to such). Those who define me this way do so with the affection and sim-patheia that comes from a partial sharing of a worldview, or who simply understand that language can be above all "play," and, within limits, "freedom." Playfully Yours, Il_Paolo

Bravo Muito: the phrase you quoted about Borges reminded me exactly of a dinner, less than a month ago, with an Argentine friend. Everyone else was completely out of it, but he and I were the only ones, in that context, to be rationally concerned with madness. Greetings to the girl. Oxymoronically yours, Il_Paolo

Among the drummers who emerged from the melting pot of the '70s, the most technically diverse one, almost pyrotechnic, while maintaining an enviable lightness of touch. However, there's little feeling; for that, one should turn to the graves of Bonzo or Moon. The synthesis of the three mentioned is called Neil Peart.

In short: 5 for having reviewed one of the first three groups of the '60s: the other two are the Rolling Stones and the Who. And indeed, I almost forgot another one that everyone will have thought of: the Kinks. While you were at it, you could have mentioned that poor Relf died electrocuted (I believe by an electric guitar). Electrically Yours, Il_Paolo
