Bernardo Bertolucci La Commare Secca

Sad is the fate of early talents (considering the last twenty years of Bertolucci). This film seems like a - shared - parricide of PPP. A parricide that, according to what I’ve read in the press, should have been completed by Walter Siti in his latest book. Sad is the left that is understanding and protective of degradation: the outcomes were evident in the last municipal elections. Nineteenth-century yours, Il_Paolo

DeSade, it has become clear that you are the Count - in every sense - and you are trying to pollute this page with the superstructural quarrel regarding my identity: in posts 173-175 of my previous review "Vacanze in America," Contemplazione was unable to say anything about my upcoming review (this one), revealing the fact that he is not me. Then there was Poletti's accusation that Il_Paolo would be Vellutogrigio, but this too turned out to be yet another pointless controversy - as Moretti would say - perhaps aimed at discrediting Vellutogrigio himself - to whom I publicly apologize. Although two old reviews by Velluto - the one on Leone di Lernia and the one on Adamo - could be mine. But - by the way - THEY ARE NOT.

Sorry, there's a typo, after Doro, instead of ****, it should be Doro Petsch. It was perhaps an attempt at self-censorship.

Not this one either, Poletti.

Let's try to organize things: Contemplazione, Il_Paolo, and the alleged fake accounts of Paolo are different entities, at least on a physical level. The case was resolved in the dialogue in posts 173-174-175. The issue, for the purposes of this review and related comments, becomes, therefore, superstructural. There are suspicions that Ajeje might be a fake account of Poletti, while there is the self-denunciation of Woodcock-ConteDeSade.

Count, forgive me, I don’t remember which review I sent this morning here to Debaser. Can you tell me in a few seconds (I’m writing at 5:45 PM)? Forgetfully Yours, Il_Paolo

It was all part of the game, Conte. But that's enough now: otherwise, it turns into a farce. But I do enjoy reviewing that. Always Yours, Il_Paolo.

Can you accurately translate the title?!?

For better or worse, one of the standout bands of the decade, at least for those who follow the genre. It remains perhaps their best work, without being excessively convoluted and fragmented. From the very first notes, you realize you have something precious in your hands, worthy of reconnecting with the tradition it inherits. Good job, anyway, also like At The Drive In.

Beautiful, by the way, is the country where you live. I have relatives nearby. The view that unfolds before you on late August days, descending from the Murgia and looking towards the sea, is priceless.
