Dr. Adder holds a degree in wisdom, with a doctorate in [self]irony. I quote him.

Well, I always have the fortune of being the first to comment on your work. Nice style, clear and concise, with choices that are not obvious but also not overly elaborate or exotic. I haven't seen this film and I'm not passing judgment, although I'm not particularly fond of pre-Scorsese Di Caprio, whose talent I do not question.

To avoid misunderstandings, I have never been part of any "historical core." It's clear that certain comments - which to some seem saturated in syrup - should be taken for what they are, including the irony that is inherent to them. Unfortunately, my reviews always spark er dibbbattitto even when they are harmless - albeit imperfect - like this one.

Wow, yesterday this little page was rightly abandoned to itself, and this morning - while I was usually sleeping in late on Sunday morning - it was filled with so many comments. So @Conte: no denigrating intent. A charming lure from Muito on the margins of the reviews of Clara & Black Cars prompts me to write (in 15 minutes during my lunch break) this dereview, based on an album that is indeed owned by the person who physically translates my thoughts into action. Nothing more, actually, thank you for the intelligent technical observations. @everyone else: I've been writing here for 3 months (but I've been visiting the site since September 2006) and I feel like a humble dereviewer in the vineyard of debaser, in my opinion the leading names - let’s be clear - are others, those who have been here for years. I confess that I started as a diversion (= like a fake Ihsan, Birbabirba), and my style was intentionally simple at least until the review of "Teresa"... then, thanks to your comments - definitely more intelligent than my reviews - I decided to raise the bar, starting with the one on Christian (with the epoch-making comment by Mien_mo_man), going through my favorites, those of Jimmy Fontana and Bobby Solo, and so on... I really don’t want to be rhetorical, but Il_Paolo exists mainly thanks to you (practically ALL those present on this page), because you are the inspirations for these modest little pages. If it weren't for your comments, what would I write for? My thoughts would freely wander between an autogrill and a train station, from a local festival to a convention for the presentation of a new shampoo... only the person (in flesh and blood) who types these words for me would benefit, finally free to devote body and soul to their hard-earned notes and the boring theories that weigh down their days. Just to clarify for anyone who might come across this by chance: the review is entirely mine, playing on an old quarrel with Contemplazione, who, in a delusion of omnipotence, thought he was me. It's a fake, like Fiorello's first albums (Veramente falso and Nuovamente falso).

Yes, of course the review should not be read as a mockery of the nice and mustachioed Contemplation, but rather as a variation on the theme, and thus as a tribute to jazz itself: essentially, I took the themes of the Count and subjected them to the "treatment" (jazz as treatment and not as a genre?) typical of my traditional reviews. How successful I was, I can't say (by the way, the sentence quoting Lavalin has an ugly anacoluthon due to haste...), but it is obvious that the attempt at mimesis is relative. SV, Il_Paolo.

Jake, Barnabera, New, Telespalla.... Always honored to have you as readers, even when I become the humble vehicle of the Count. @Muito, you’re not the first to associate me with Bugs; in fact, they say it’s one of the traits of the person whom I’ve been using to write these reviews since January (being immaterial myself); @Lavalin: this time you’re mistaken! The_Paolo you know would never have referred to a "bar alla Hopper," but, more prosaically, some autogrill in the Po Valley, if not one of the splendid pizzoranti that you too must have certainly seen in one of the centostazioni (or even large stations) in Italy;

Very good. I also like Anderson - I have to go see this movie and at this point I believe I will go as soon as possible. As for the lack of reviews about him: I don't think I'm the right person to do it (I focus on other genres) but it does pain me that other cinephiles haven't done so. Well.. you do it!

Congratulations, Eliodoro. I saw your homepage, and I like the idea that this site is frequented by people like you. I'm very envious of the art teacher from high school who is an expert on Pink Floyd (with mine, just twenty years later, I managed to talk about Deep Purple and Kate Bush).
