"Amicus Muito, sed magis Amica Mission," so it reads in an epigraph from the 3rd century AD, found on the outskirts of Triggiano and attributed to a disciple of Paul of Tarsus. I have to decipher it, but it seems to invite me to review Pieraccioni, sooner or later. ST Il_Paolo

Very... to say I care about you might be reductive, but please, don’t make me endure these polemics anymore. One Poletti is more than enough... you know very well that he is the ultimate anti Il_Paolo, my antimatter, my Voldemort, your Articolo31 (if you are the Negazione). I couldn't stand the Giancattivi - not even Benvenuti or the other one (though Athina Cenci...), I could follow you on Ceccherini and Pieraccioni. However, I rewatched it quickly some time ago, and I must admit that "Ti amo in tutte le lingue del mondo" (by the way, a somewhat pornographic title) is a really charming film, and, in some ways, touching. The character of Paolina (hey... my namesake?!) makes me crack up with laughter.

Sorry Vortex, what do you mean by "if Il_Paolo let himself go it would be interesting to exchange opinions & flames"?!?. Obliviously Yours, Il_Paolo

Dear Muito, you who know me well know how I didn't grow up on bread and Lukacs but on bread and nutella, and in summer, on blood orange soda (the red one) and ice pops. At most on bread and George Lucas. You're taking me a bit by the collar with this discussion, but I’ll try to share my thoughts. In reality, I intended to promote Monicelli precisely because he is considered, unanimously, as ā€œminorā€ compared to FF and PPP, as well as to MA, and this – you well know – falls within my broader ā€œmission.ā€ Then of course I wanted to spark the debate in honor of the first review by my companion Lavalin, fully knowing the roosters and Poletti that are present on this site, as well as the gray flannels worn by someone a bit too snobby for the tastes of Il_Paolo. And so it happened. Lastly, I have a soft spot for Monicelli as an inspiration for Pieraccioni (see the role of the octogenarian director in ā€œIl cicloneā€)… I’ll definitely go see the film about Andreotti. ST, Il_Paolo

Thank you, Gustavo! Poletti, "Notte prima degli esami" entertained me a lot because I see myself in some characters and because I experienced the '80s with relative awareness. Don't do your usual intellectual snobbery and don't beat around the bush. Ah... if you stop treating me like a fake, I would be happy.

Come on, if he were alive, he would have his column "Petrolio" in L’espresso, he would write about books for the Venerdì di Repubblica (instead of Augias), and he would play the part of a silent old man in the upcoming "Gomorra." Instead, he would have quit cinema in the mid-80s, after a film adaptation of "Il prete bello" that was trashed by critics and even more by the public. Some voices would have suggested he go to the opera and return to cinema with the adaptation of "Troppi paradisi" by W. Siti, but the only available producer - Medusa Film - would not have favored him. Maria de Filippi would try to invite him to Amici - perhaps to seduce Pasqualino Maione - but he would disdainfully refuse, preferring to spend the entire winter semester on some beach in Sri Lanka or Thailand, marveling at the poverty of the area, which reminded him so much of post-war Friuli. De Gregori wouldn’t have dedicated any song to him.

Poletti, what has Faust'O done to you?!? Welcome to the trash is the ideal backdrop for the first Cabinet meeting in Neaples.
