I almost forgot that Capotondi also participated, in a prominent role, in the subsequent "Christmas in Love," certainly repetitive compared to the previous films, but still well positioned within the subgenre of Christmas movies. Here’s a sample of his acting skills before his well-deserved fame! Categorically Yours, Il_Paolo

Excellent Marco: let’s remember that Titti Capotondi (being Jewish, she doesn’t particularly like being called "Cristiana", but even her parents, for heaven's sake, could have been more attentive when naming her...) in the stronghold you rightly mention, portrayed the spoiled daughter of Massimo Boldi, fulfilling her dream of meeting the handsome, and then much desired by many, Luke Perry (the one from Beverly Hills). Although resistant to these "superstructural" discussions, I would like to delve into the aesthetic quarrel raised by some: Capotondi evokes almost Flemish models in her aesthetics, so it is natural, and thus not subject to criticism, that she lacks the curves defining the Latin ideal type (e.g., Stefania Sandrelli at the height of her form). Rather, in this film, few remember the presence of Carola Stagnaro, a talented theater actress who appeared in "Ecce Bombo" and, in a minor role, in "Tenebre" by Dario Argento. Here she plays Luca's mother, so she appears a bit older, but as a young woman, she was surely captivating: I’m linking this video, taken directly from Moretti's film. Here it is: SV, Il_Paolo

Just imagine, Birba! In fact, I confess that it was precisely following your shining example that inspired me to challenge myself on this site with my "mission"!

Welcome back, Birbabirba. What can I say, I don't disagree with the "merit" of your review: the subject at hand offers interesting insights, and I myself—who have never been particularly fond of De Filippi and her crew—this year took a look at the Saturday afternoon episodes of "Amici," precisely for the superlative presence of Robertina and Pasqualino, two characters who, in the right hands, would be literary material! However, I disagree with the "method" of your review: it seems like a jumble of considerations placed on the same level—I would almost say in parataxis—without a weave and without a purpose: I advise you to give a perspective to the subject matter, to seek the reasons for the existence of these products, and to better frame albums of this kind within the context of our contemporary Italy. You will see that the comments from our friends at Deb will then be benevolent.

Pol, "better," "more beautiful," are too generic adjectives: here, I sense that they are better, but rationally I can't formulate a logical and technical discourse that allows me to prove it (and neither can you, be honest). And that allows you to demonstrate that this movie sucks: now don't come telling me that you don't identify with the story, I wouldn't believe you! Yours, Il_Paolo

Venusian, don’t be hasty: if Chapman hadn’t killed John: 1) in '82 John would have duetted with Prince on a cover of Helter Skelter included in 1999; 2) in '85 he would have organized Live Aid with Bob Geldof and would have won the Nobel Peace Prize; 3) until 1995 he wouldn’t have recorded anything as a UNICEF, FAO, Greenpeace ambassador and whatnot; in 1997, divorcing from Yoko, he would have gotten together with Soon Y Previn, a defector from Woody, publishing, in the wake, an autobiography ("Coming Soon"); 4) finally, in 2000 he would have reunited with the 4 beetles for an album of unreleased tracks, reaching number one worldwide, produced by William Orbit: guests, among others, the Gallaghers and Damon Albarn, on backing vocals in the finale "From Sixties to 60". We should thank Chapman, like Brutus or Oswald, for helping to build the myth!

<<an emotion>>. No, I can't stand the locks either; maybe it's because SCMRC gets on my nerves, or maybe because I don't like the romantic genre. However, my cousin Paolissima thinks differently; heaven forbid she doesn't write something on the subject!

Peter, you raise the tone of the conversation and compel me to follow you: regardless of the fact that a Sprite—perhaps taken on a sunny August day under the heat of a rest area, or at two in the afternoon while waiting for the train from one of the vending machines located on the platform— is an emotion all to drink, in short, aside from this, I don’t believe in what you call "universal value," and I don't think that grades—a quantitative measure—can describe and attribute any value to an experience, which is precisely the enjoyment of a work. With this, I don’t mean to say that at night all cows are black, since there must be some difference between "Notte prima..." and, to randomly quote, "Aguirre, furore di Dio," or "Professione Reporter": the point is that no one has ever told us what that difference is. Therefore, in this chaos, I prefer to dedicate myself to the humble study of cinema and so-called "minor" art, also because I firmly believe that in abjection, one can sometimes find something interesting: like in this charming film. Sincerely, Yours Il_Paolo
