@Rikardo: if you want to bill me, I need to give you the VAT number. One day I’ll tell you the story of that wizard who made invoices but didn't bill them. And good luck explaining these omitted billings to the Tax Authority, even claiming that you bill what can be billed (even for the marshal's wife). By the way, I notice you're from the lovely Venetian town of Jesolo – and your physique as a Bitch Boy leaves no doubt about your summer inclinations: I’ve never been there, but friends have told me that the promenade in your town is dedicated to Christian De Sica, Nancy Brilli, and Andrea Bocelli. One day I’ll visit, just to have my picture taken under the relevant signs, and if you want, we can have a nice demeeting. I’ll treat! Thanks to everyone else for their comments: unfortunately, since 2006, Juventus hasn’t given me much satisfaction, and I can't rule out – since we’re on the topic of football – that the deficiencies from supporting a team that wins little have led me to spend my free time watching and reviewing lesser arts for and with you.

Thank you, Birba. The two films you mentioned definitely need to be addressed, but it depends on the time. As I love to say, indeed, the voice is few and the (lesser) favored art is immense. Readers like you repay me, in any case, for the many struggles of my mission, and are, at the same time, an invitation not to give in to the temptations of rest and quiescence, which my "critics" (some relentless, true alter egos: they seek my fakes among my associates, but perhaps it’s not like that). Stay tuned! ST Il_Paolo

@NEU2 (the one made with the leftovers from NEU!, I don't really like it that much), I don't think of myself as "intellectual," but as a simple person who loves simple cinema, and indeed, "minor" cinema. I don't worry about what's beautiful or ugly (which Burke or Kant haven't solved, let alone a humble reviewer!), I simply like to expand the discussion to the suggestions that are - or aren't - behind very well-known films, domestic ones, that everyone has come across while zapping or that they've heard good or bad things about. You might say that I'm looking at ants, not the universe: however, I ask you to reflect on how much universe there is within an ant, and how much infinite - abyssal - there is in the infinitely small. And remember that these are just words; life is something else (like a sandwich with a cutlet). Abyssally Yours, Il_Paolo

In fact, there is a continuity between what I write and the people I "choose" (or who choose me, this is still not very clear to me): like offering a camogli or similar at the autogrill to test the person's sensitivity. I don't know if Rosy Bindi watches these movies. However, she and I have something in common, that is certain.

@genoo: Maybe! I have to tell you, though, that what I did with Franco and his friends - in the third episode - I just grazed it, as I really enjoy playing pranks, even extremely heavy ones when I think about it, on my closest friends. @velluto: I don’t know. In my opinion, the signifier is neutral; you assign value to the text by interpreting it and giving it meaning. Why limit possible interpretations (and based on what criteria, then? Good taste, style?)? It ultimately reduces not so much the potential of the film object, but that of the interpreting subject, which I believe - as a convinced humanist - is infinite. However, I won’t get caught up in philosophical discussions with you; we might risk not getting anywhere.

So: those who know me know that I don't mess with anyone, I'm real and I'm not a fake. If someone literally adores this movie and the Vanzina brothers, and feels the urge to write about it on a very cool site like this, sparking intelligent debates (which are lacking: like the Italian socio-anthropological fragmentation reflected in urban riots at stadiums!) starting from things that only seemingly are "minor", I don’t know what to do about it. The description of Milan and the Lombard countryside that Boldi gives in this film, the supposed liberation of Abatantuono from his witch wife and his bitch mother-in-law, his getting into debt only to find himself bullied, that's the cinema that makes me dream and the life I would have liked to live and not describe. Nostalgically (but also incomprehensibly) Yours, Il_Paolo

@Genoo: in my opinion, Juventus won their titles on the field; they were clearly the strongest team even between 2002 and 2006. Of course, off the field, someone was making calls, but the so-called "causal effectiveness" of those calls on the match results has never been proven. It's true that they were overly arrogant, but is that enough? Because otherwise, what should we say about Mancini, Galliani, and others? Regardless of the fact that the rather intelligent Guido Rossi, author of interesting essays on conflict of interest as an endemic evil of our times, was on the board of directors of Internazionale, awarding them a scudetto on the table. Which may have been necessary, but inappropriate. With unchanged esteem.

@Genoo: thank you very much. I can see you appreciate it: however, I’m not messing around, at most I’m just goofing off. Of course, some scenes from this movie are unforgettable, and they have a bittersweet quality. @Stoopid: I think so, but I should rewatch it. Watch the scene with Abatantuono, his mother-in-law (Clara Colosimo), and his wife (the sister of Melato: she played Mrs. Boccasana in a famous mouthwash commercial that I recommend trying even if you don’t have a sore throat, along with Aulin, which, however, is addictive), you’ll see some wonderful acting performances. Her expression when she says "He's my brother" cracks me up. The tragedy of Italian cinema, in my opinion, is that it has completely lost the ability to cultivate character actors worthy of the name, stealing from the theater or the variety shows that no longer exist a few beautiful faces to complement the performances of the more celebrated actors: after all, of the so-called "minor" Italian cinema of the 20th century, it is mainly the faces and characters of the aforementioned that remain, beyond the big names. What a shame. SV, Il_Paolo

@Reverse: no, good girl, actually very good (my desk mate for years), also intelligent, but not beautiful in the way I mean. So. Beautifully Yours.
